Whining? I thought it was funny. Doesn't anybody know what Thunderdome is anymore?

Some of you people have no sense of humor.

Aww come on.

Im not so doom and gloom around here. Everyone is whining or rejoicing.

Its not about either. Its about change. All things change and Shanahan's time is apparently up. Like it or not. Its over time to move on.

I remember when Reeves left everyone was worried about the transition.

People were unsure on Shanahan.

Look, the team will be OK, they will move on. The offense is in place. The defense needs work. What better way to do that than to get a defensive minded coach in ala what the Colts did with Dungy.

Offense was set in Indy, got Dungy in there and two or three years later Superbowl. I mean come on, everyone needs to calm down. We know Bowlen is going to bring in a good coach. We can surmise that he will probably bring in either a good GM or, in the case of Cowher, have a good personel man in.

Its just the end of a (great) era, but not the end of all things.

Taco is whining, see his gutless drunk thread. Biggest whine thread ever.

As I've said... if you were with this team in the 70s, you've seen much worse times and you recognize this for what it is. We're just moving on.

Pay attention already. Bowlen has said he wants to bring in a young, offensive minded coach...

I was not a fan in the 70s, being too young to understand football. I became a fan under the Reeves era (the very early Reeves era) but Ive seen enough change in football to know that even great coaches need to pick up and move on or the team needs to pick up and move on.

Its just par for the course. It was bound to happen with Shanahan.

The most points in 40 years given up, + 3 straight years without the playoffs the longest in like a bazillion years, and clearly too much power.

Ive been saying it, I wanted to keep Mike the HC but NOT Mike the VP. If we could not keep the HC without the VP then maybe it was time for a change. I dont like it all that much, its still kind of shocking to me, but Im not going to cry about it. I trust that Bowlen will bring in a good person to fill his shoes because he brought in Shanahan in the first place.

We'll be OK, its certainly not going to be the darkest days of Denver history. Thats retarded, we will never EVER be as bad as we were in the 60s with Bowlen as an owner.

Also TJ the reason I asked is if it was some computer trick renaming the main forum to alleviate server strain. Thus the thread I should have said that.
