Doubt he's going to fire the guy (or ask him to resign) before they're back in Denver.

However, I doubt he's gone. He's hitching himself to Slowik being able to turn it around when the defense has talent.

If he keeps Slowik to coach a defense that just gave up the 2nd most points in franchise history, I hope Bowlen gives him a playoffs or bust ultimatum.

I agree all the way. Slowick is the problem, and is Shannahan wants to keep him around, then Bowlen has got to let him know, playoff WIN or Shanahan goes then.
