Default Shanahan Next Year

I've always supported Shanahan and I still do. I thought this year's team, stuck in the midst of a major retool, would be mediocre to fair, and they were. That said, Shanahan has one more year left to show he can field a contender. In my book, he's had time. Next year is it. He needs a deep playoff run, regardless of injuries, refs, weather....no excuses.

If the Broncs fail to win a playoff game next year, Shanahan must go. IMO, he should officially be placed on the hot seat as of right.....now.

Enjoy the playoffs, everybody! Go Colts!

Shanahan needs to feel the hot seat before any real change will be made. Hopefully the 52 points the defense gave up and the lost division championship will also lead to these changes.

I think the only injury he could use as a legit excuse is if Jay goes down. Other than that....

The Pats had major injuries this year, and they still competed. So did the colts. So did the steelers. So did the Giants and Philly for that matter. Injuries are part of the game, and building quality depth is as much a part of competing as finding stars at skill positions.

Shanny needs to get it done.

I have to admit that I have lost some faith in Shanny this year. I agree that he should get another year, but he's has to get us to the playoffs. I also think it's time to strip him of the Executive Vice President of Football Operations title. The operations and management is too closely held by too few and has becone inbred. Mike needs to focus on coaching and Bowlen needs to find him help to get out of this rut!

I saw Shanahan congratulate the coaches after we went up 6-3. After that, we proceeded to fall apart. Maybe Shanahan should have waited until AFTER the game to congratulate his coaches?

Is this a serious question?
