Final Touches The day after Christmas started cold and rainy, but it cleared up and warmed up for the Broncos to practice and put the final touches on their preparation for the trip to San Diego. ALL ABOUT THE TRASH TALK It’s no secret that the Chargers have been giving their local media more than a few sound bites leading up to Sunday’s winner-take-all contest, and after practice today, Head Coach Mike Shanahan was asked about some of the things that have been said. “I really don’t pay a whole lot of attention to it,” Shanahan said. “I’m not really sure what’s been said.” Though he did say he had read about them calling Jay Cutler a “punk,” to which he responded, “Hey, to each his own. Everybody handles themselves differently.” He was also asked if he thought the Broncos-Chargers rivalry may have caught up to the Broncos-Raiders one. “I think so. I think any time a team is playing well and they’ve won the division a couple years, I think there’s always that anticipation about playing a good team, especially at their place for all the marbles. Obviously a lot goes into it.” Jamie Winborn weighed in on all the trash talk as well, and he believes it just makes the buildup for the game that much more exciting. But at the bottom of it all, the two teams still have to line up across from each other and play the game. “It doesn’t matter,” Winborn said of all the talk. “You’ve still got to go out and play. It’s good they’ve got that kind of energy about the game. Any time you’ve got talking going on like this, guys saying they definitely don’t like us, all of this, that’s fine. Talk is good, but like I say, you’ve got to play when it comes down to it.” INJURY REPORT Shanahan gave a status update after practice, saying that everyone participated fully, and everyone on the official report is listed as probable. “Everybody’s ready to go — full speed.” And he took a minute to address the running back position in particular. “Everybody practiced, and hopefully there are no setbacks. Nobody’s allowed to walk past the running backs room. (It’s a) danger zone,” Shanahan said with a smile. For the Chargers, linebacker Brandon Siler and wide receiver Malcolm Floyd are doubtful. Defensive tackle Jamal Williams and linebacker Anthony Waters are probable. – Adam Zinser, DenverBroncos.com And here’s a look at today’s practice… |

Why couldn't it be Cromartie or someone that mattered on their defense calling Jay a punk? Then we could have fun watching Cutler pick on that guy all day, like Brady did a few years ago to the Pittsburgh player who talked **** about him.
