Default Praters Quote

After the game when asked about his pathetic kickoffs landing at the 10.

" I have to learn how to drive the ball in cold weather "

so you mean to tell me that shannahan knew prater couldn't kick in the cold but still attempted a 54 yard field goal before half?

the mastermind in full effect

Dude, he's part of the rebuilding process. Get off his back. In a few years if he's still missing half of his kicks, then we can chat.

Yeah. Blame that on Shanny too. You know what? I bet Shanny made Marshall fumble too.

Yeash, what was that guy's problem? WE ARE REBUILDING--kickoffs, FG's it doesn't matter--it's all part of tha' PLAN! Why do I feel more and more justified the more I post today?

Well, Elam wouldn't have made it either and another roster spot would've been wasted on someone else kicking off to the 10 or worse.

The one thing I can't excuse Prater for was that one awful kickoff that the Bills took to near midfield...damn thing looked like a pouch punt or something. It would've been better to have just kicked to Parrish.

There is this little know thing you can do on fourth down when you you are in bad field position it's called 'punt the ball' and the coach gets to call for that play.
It really comes into play when it's cold and field goal range is shortened.

I call bull***t. Cold weather doesn't cost you 30-35 yards on a kickoff.

I'm really starting to dislike Prater. Jesus, sure it was cold, but it's not like it was the ice bowl out there. The ball was dry. Shut up, and kick the f**ing rock.

Wanny would have attempted a fake FG.

We need to Fire Shanny and Hire WANNY.

Yeah. This team is very young and it will take about one more season with help from the draft and free agency to put a consistent, solid team on the field.

Everyone feels justified after beating up on a straw man take.

Kern is allergic to the cold, just like Prater. His kicks only travel 10 feet when the weather is below 45 degrees.

so they go 80 yards in 2 min drill vs the 55ish? You think the D would have stopped them either way?

So we should only draft players from cold climates? No wonder why Moss has been a disappointment thus far. Genius.

wtf are you talking about? 30-35 yards?

we were intentionally not kicking off deep because we have zero confidence in our coverage unit.

He squibbed a couple and when that didn't work, he tried to hit a high short one to allow our guys to get downfield.

An actual football take is not allowed here at the Team Board v. 2.0. Only threads about moving a HOFer to a new position, or posts that display hyper-emotion combined with a complete lack of understanding game observations.
