Wow! I called it. I said nine after our game.
I don't see how anyone would take the points in this one. As lousy as the Bolts' pass defense is, their crowd and us being one dimensional--there is just no way. |

The networks have to know we're going to get killed. I guess they just want everyone to see how much we suck and feel good about their SD super bowl pick.

This can only play to the broncos advantage. it puts the pressure back on San Diego (who would have thought that). Denver usually plays well when their backs are against the wall. Don't think we'll win, but this does help.

I think the dog has covered in damn near all of our games but this one just has blowout written all over it. Hopefully Norv gives LT more touches than Sproles. The little guy is a better back at this point. |

I sometimes have difficulty unravelling the inanity of sports cliche's, but if your back is against the wall isn't the pressure on YOU? Certainly a cornered mountain lion feels pressure.

I sat at a blackjack table in Vegas once with a guy who was betting like a madman. All over the place. We got to talking and he found out that I'm a Broncos fan. When he found this out, he told me that he named his boat "Plus 11".
I'll put my money on Denver, and I hope that you posers lose your rent money. Pu$$ies. |

No, the cliche means if your back is against the wall, you throw the kitchen sink to get out of it because you have nothing to lose. At least thats the way i interpret it.

wouldn't this broncos collapse be like the mets collapse in baseball? football has fewer games so the trainwreck is a little compressed, but I gotta imagine the mets felt pressure as they went inexorably down.

Broncos are......geeez....bloody awful. They'll never win another game in their franchise future. May as well have them stuffed with the Lions. Crap-a-million.
But really, they just might win this one. |

I can still be wrong about us not making playoffs. If any team could choke something away it's the Chargers. It doesn't look good though you are right about that. For Cutler this is the type of thing that if he loses he really becomes Phillip Rivers b****. Because of that I think we will see a fired up Cutler that won't miss wide open WR for tds 3 times. If he does miss again, throw int, etc then really he has only himself to blame.

I think its a different situation, as the mets were favored from the outset to win. They were a team with bloated payroll that began to underachieve. In this case, the Chargers were the good team that underacheived. The hurt, young broncos were never supposed to be here in the first place. With that, the fact that they are at home, the fact that they've b****ed about the hoch call, combined with the fact they are huge favorites...i honestly dont think the pressure is on the broncos AS MUCH as it is SD.

There are millions of fans of about two dozen other franchises who would beg to differ. Just look at the Jets right now... (for one)

Give me Jay and the boys. Maybe there's a bit of homerism talking here, but how can I help it when I am surrounded by the defeatism of a slapnuts like broncofan7 or that abortion of a "fan" broncofan2438? Seriously, why don't you quitters put on your Fouts jerseys and follow the Chargers trolls out of town? |
