I think we'd all be a bit surprised at how little most NFL players know about other players outside their division. For the most part, a lot of these guys get the same info most fans do - from ESPN. I recall watching a segment a few weeks ago when a majority of the players interviewed didn't know who Nnamdi Asmougha was. Keep in mind he's been the league's top CB this year and was in the top-2 at that position last year.

Until these guys start breaking down film of that week's opponents - less than 5% of players actually study other teams and their players. You'll get some guys who watch other players at the same position to pick up stuff. But I'd be willing to bet that 75% of the players on teams we didn't play this year have no f*ing clue who Ryan Clady is.
