Maybe it was mentioned in another thread, but why didn't Boyd suit up yesterday?

Will he be likely to play next week? He's the only back w/ the size to be more than a part time guy.

I figured it was because he probably didn't have a good week in practice. I was hoping Shanahan might say something about it in the press conference.

Thats what I said, until I saw the video. That made me say he is worth a shot. I know you cant compare college and NFL, but it is a good conference he was in. And we might be getting desperate.

ENGLEWOOD — The Broncos waived running back Cory Boyd on Monday.
Boyd, who had been signed from the practice squad earlier this month, could be headed back to the Broncos practice squad if he clears waivers. If the Broncos don't re-sign him to the practice squad, he will be a free agent.
Boyd was a gameday inactive Sunday in Carolina.

Ok here is your extra funny haha for the day. 104.3 the FAN(suck ass radio) said that Boyd thought he was starting. Thats where they got that from. Not the coaches but BOYD himself. Shanahan in his press conference said Boyd wasn't even close to being ready.

Well so much for Boyd being the next great Bronco RB. Looks like were stuck with what we have. I sure hope Pope can bring his game up a level. Nows the time to do it. Not much faith in Bell or Young.
