Selvin is only 1,713 yards away from a 2,000 yard season.

Again, if the 2nd half of the KC game didn't tell you what losing Hillis was going to do to our offense, this first-half has.

We can't run on first down. Jay Cutler will have to run his one-man-show today, and he appears to be in mopey-mode early on... making dumb throws and throwing off his back foot. Hopefully he'll get it together and make a run in the 2nd half. We all know he can when he wants to.

Selvin Young is useless. Again, Hillis made our offense work... now it's broken. He's gone and we can't change that now, but Shanahan may be wanting to look elsewhere than the useless Selvin Young or marginal Tatum Bell at this point.

I don't think he's broken a single tackle all year.

So, good riddance.

Honestly never saw why anyone would think this guy is any good.

Guy can't break tackles, fall forward when he gets hit. The antithesis of what you really need at RB, namely a guy who consistently picks up positive yardage and can get the ball in the endzone.

He's basically a change of pace back who offers no home run threat whatsoever. 2 career TD's in the NFL.

Sounds fairly ****ing useless to me.

Out of the three backs, Pope is running the best right now. Go with him. He's the hot hand.

That wasn't even on Selvin because it was a terrible terrible TERRIBLE call. We had no business running those two plays at all. Not only do we run them, but we run a screen and a pitch out. On our own fifteen with thirty seconds left, we call two plays where the only impact they could possibly have on the final score of the game was negative. I was yelling at the screen long before we fumbeled it, and in fact said the only thing that could happen was a fumble right as Selvin got the ball. Completely retarded.

Have to agree (although it was still on Selvin). We wait twenty seconds to call timeout on 4th down. Then we waste more time after the throw to Graham (at that point, we should have just let the clock run out). Then, we run a sweep to a guy who's averaging 2 yards a carry?

Dumb.

Ya the play call caused Selvin to fumble it.

We can still make a run if the defense can get 2 stops and the O is unstoppable.

I'm done with this kid. How long has he nursed this injury? He's missed two decent holes so far today, and tops it off with the fumble.

Seriously, no more Young, no more Cell phone salesman, No more Andre Hall, no more crap. Draft a durable back with decent vision and speed next year to compete/compliment Hillis and call it a day.

That 3rd and 1 earlier in the half (that led to the field goal) tells you everything you need to know. With Hillis it's an easy first down, without him we're having to try quick screens and hope for the best.

Our running game has lost its punch and ability to gain tough yards. They're going to sit in cover-2 the entire game and bring the blitz.

Hillis is a durable back. That didn't keep him off the IR.

I would be against spending a high pick on a RB.

Dude, that guy got a solid grasp of Selvin's SHOELACE! You can't expect him to break a tackle like that!

Well, it was the wind from his hand, but you're right... there's no reason to expect a back to run through that.

Why the hell is he playing? he is slower than Hillis, he couldn't break out of a vicious stare and he seems to be reading his blocks about as well as Ray Charles would.

Holy crap, why aren't anybody cutting back?

Gotta love Selvin's heart but, at this point, he's Mike Bell Pt 2.

He went undrafted for a reason - at this point, and I'll admit that Hillis was the exception, I hope Shanny is seeing that his "plug and play" running system just isn't reliable any more.

I'm on the boat that we need to draft or bring in a workhorse, dependable back. And I'm not totally convinced Hillis is that person....but I think he's a better shot than Young, Bell, etc.
