Tebow received the most 1st place votes and still came in third place in the voting.

Undeserving just like his team doesn't deserve the National Championship game.

So how do these QBs look as NFL prospects?

I think the Championship could actually be a good game.

it used to be a nice award way back . i put it up there with the grammys these days. how many of the last ten heisman winners play in the nfl? tim couch was the last straw for me. i think the winner of "the best player in college football award" maybe should play a few downs in the nfl for me to respect it.

Its "Best Player in COLLEGE Football", not "Best player who translates to the NFL" award... I would agree that the award is going to wayyyy too many QB's these past 10 years. That is stupid. |

back in the day a heisman trophy winner was actually supposed to be a decent nfl player. it used to actually be embarrissing for a heisman winner to fail in the nfl. |

I would compare the Heisman to the NFL's HOF.

Bradford is a very good NFL prospect, and was deserving of the Heisman. Guy lite up opposing defenses and led the #1 offense in NCAA HISTORY.
Man, so much hate for OU the past couple months from nearly everybody I've talked to. |

The hate is because Texas beat them and then they represented the Big 12 South in the Big 12 'ship.... not right, not cool |

Every time I see someone post some OU-hate, I want to defend against it with solid, logical arguments, but at this point I'm pretty sure it'll fall on deaf ears. Only way to shed the hate is to show up against FL and shut everyone up. I hope OU is up to task, otherwise it's just another OU Bowl bust. |

Ya I can understand why Texas would be upset with it. When the computers do their computing and mix in Texas Tech. who was ranked right up there with OK. & Texas for awhile . Oklahoma blew Texas Tech. away 65 to 21 and it wasnt even that close. Where Texas only beat T.T. by 6. I think Texas defeating OK. by 10 points could of very well went the other way since Ok. lost there star receiver early in the game. I think Bradford is a good candidate and deserved heisman trophy winner.

The NFL should have absolutely zero to do with the award. College prowess does not always translate to the next level....the best player in college football might not be great NFL material, but that does not mean they cannot dominate in college. The NFL covets size and speed and sheer talent....in college a guy like Tim Tebow can be a great and gutsy leader without having a 1st round NFL arm. The college game has so many different offenses compared to the pro game. Some of the players from these offenses will not fit in the NFL. The Heisman Trophy is a college award, not an NFL award. |

Not saying I disagree, but why do YOU think that it's sad that the best college player doesn't translate to the NFL?
They are two totally different types of football. |
