NFL.com actually now stopped comparing Cutler to the other 2 and put in Tavaris Jackson. I guess they finaly realized that Cutler is head and shoulders above all the rest of that year.
Carruci story about the 2006 QB class Link from the front page comparing Leinart, Young and Jackson, no mention of Cutler Although it is a back asswards way, I think we can consider this final evidence that everybody now accepts that Cutler just is a helluva lot better than the rest of the 2006 class. |

So has Mel Kiper finally changed his opinion about who is the best QB of that draft. I remember earlier this season, could have been just before the season started, he said that he still thinks that Young and Lienart will be better, and that Cutler cost the Broncos games last year. Time for him to admit that he was dead wrong.

"The only first-round quarterback from the class of '06 starting is Jay Cutler, who has led the Broncos to the top of the AFC West and whose 23 touchdown passes rank second in the conference."

I remember on that Marshall TD pass last week Gannon said "Cutler made the throw of throws" that might be the best thing he has ever said.

all of the others have either been in and out of the starting lineup or been reduced to backups, or been injured too much to make any contribution. This is the 2006 Draft Class in order of pick. Young, Leinart, Cutler, Clemens, Jackson, Whitehurst, Croyle. Martin, Jacobs, McNeal, Gradkowski, Shockley 12 QB's drafted and 1 is good. |

actually Vegas gives him the 3rd best chance of being MVP behind Warner and Peterson.

I don't know if the internet voters have anything to with the mvp voting.
But if they do, and if I was an internet bookie I sure as hell would have wondered about the Redskins and Broncos players voted as player of the weeks and pro bowl votes. So if we "influence" those votings, we also can take on the MVP voting. Of course, if fans has no say in the MVP voting, these points would be moot, but it sure as hell would be fun if they had....D) |

If Jay didn't lay complete eggs against NE, Miami and Oakland he'd be deserving of MVP. But he did, so he isn't. Then again, no one is really standing out so with a strong finish you never know.

Well if you wanna get right down to brass tacks it kinda shows he IS our most valuable, and we're completely ****ed without him playing up to his ability. Laying eggs kills any shots at Offensive Player of the year, of course, but not necessarily MVP.

Its a pretty weak class of MVP candidates though, so its not like Cutler is lighting the world on fire. He should be a pro-bowler however. |
