Have lost 20+ pounds since I came back to South Dakota on Wednesday. Looks like the medications are getting all that **** in me (swelling, water weight) and crap out. I feel like a new person. Still a long ways to go, but things are going pretty well.
I'm right now cause of the insomnia, but it aight. |

Went into the doctor yesterday to go another renal panel and UA. Will hopefully know the results soon. Officially down 29.5/30 pounds since December 17th. I'm the lightest I've been in a long time and will probably keep losing some weight. Getting able to exercise and feel pretty normal. Side effects from the medication are still there, but there is no doubt I'm on a fast track to recovery and doing much better. I'm feeling pretty great.
Nurse Update: Gettin' head from her regularly. |

Definitely, maybe even ahead of schedule. The prayers and blessings from you all have undoubtedly helped and been a big morale booster for me. Thanks for that once again.

Haven't updated in a while! Got a call from the Nephrologist and while I'm not in remission, the results over a few weeks (about three) have been absolutely amazing. I am taking a reduced amount of my corticosteroid and the doctor believes that I should be in remission within a month. That will be awesome. I cannot wait!
I've been able to do a good cardio workout (one and a half hours a day) the past week and have never felt better. I weight about 175 pounds and am nearing 40 pounds of bad fluid and crappy fat loss. I suppose when I'm off the Prednisone, I'll lose some more weight because I've stabalized at my weight as of the past few days. (Doc said I'd probably lose more.) Got my bill today and was amazed at how lucky I am to have unsurance. Saved 1,500+ and only owe like 200 for my biopsy and other stuff. So damn lucky. Thank you all. You have helped so much. I'll keep you up to date more when I can! |

Still haven't got a call, which is making me wonder if they got my last blood and UA results, so I am making the call myself today. Definitely seeing the side effects of everything a lot more now, which is why I think my dosage needs to go down. Never had any acne, now I do -- and I'm the kind of guy who buys facial **** and washes his face constantly because he tries to look decent. Moon face is just stupid, a lot of joint pain and all that. It is all bearable, but it definitely has set in.
Also gonna set up a payment plan with them so I can make monthly payments with all the bills, establish better credit and all that. Otherwise, I'm still working out as much as I can and eating healthy and am keeping off all those pounds, gaining back weight from Prednisone is something I haven't seen yet -- and I hope I don't -- even though when I'm off of it I'm sure I'll be able to work it all off. School just started, it is going pretty well -- I'm just glad that I was diagnosed and got to do half (or so) of my treatment over break so I can really focus hard this semester and be one (hopefully) away from graduation. That's about all I know, when I know more about nearing remission and where things stand exactly, I'll toss it your way! |

Appointment coming up in a few days, I'll have results ASAP. Got busy with school and starting work, lobbying and the new semester again and things got all fugged up. Sorry for that. When I know, you'll know. I can still tell my albumin count is low because I have a little bit of edema in my legs, but hopefully that gets cleared up soon. It doesn't hurt or anything, it's just retarded.
Like I said many times, thanks so much for the well wishes. It means a lot. I gotta be 100% healthy for the draft. |
