I miss slap as well and folks quit postering for different reasons but when the guy would snap he was downright mean so leaving the mane was probably a good thing for him, i wish him and his new dog well though.

The greatness that was Slap, in all his legendary glory, can be found in this one definitive thread......an Orangemane classic of vintage Slap viciousness:

Enjoy!

That thread is so rich with history that anyone knew should be directed towards that when they question our attitude!

There used to be a thread awhile back called "Actual Posters" that I believe he was behind as well. It was another classic but since it originated prior to 2004, it has since been deleted.

BusterTBronco is actually from the old DPO and he followed us to The South Stands.

I don't remember him posting much here.

I could be wrong, but it seems to me that "Actual Posters" was started by Mock.

That's funny, the bitterness. He knew football, but was angry at the internets or something.

It really was a shame that I was new back then, in full lurk mode and hardly understood the takes (most of which are hilarious now). But the amount of classic Mane banter and disdain is a perfect example of what every off-season thread should look like

I think your last post really mitigated some of the damage, Angry Rabbit. Those are the most impressive credentials since Mock's third place finish in an eighth grade debate class in Bumfart, IA.
I find this amusing, since I was a teamate that won both State debate championships in Iowa, (The most literate state in America), In both Des Moines and Iowa City circa 1975. I was a Freshman.

Anyway, I own my mistakes. Sometimes, When I'm cornered.

Slap disappeared soon after Travis Henry did. Slap loved Henry, I hope he made a better recovery than Travis.

Iowa had only two state debates, and you won both? As a freshman both times? Please elaborate.

No, BusterTBronco still posts regularly at The South Stands.

I am sure they are not the same person.

BusterTBronco lives in NoCal or Washington State.

It's just a little board I started 5 or 6 years ago when the DPO message boards shut down for a time.

We ended up moving to worldcrossing....it is ok, not the most reliable host, but the price is right and it serves the purpose for our rowdy bunch. Good group of guys, but nothing on the scale of the Mane....we have maybe 40 regular posters there.

Several regulars here post there as well....bronco militia is the other mod, ames, rascal, bendog, myself, and nflbronco. Baja posts now and then.

We also have some real characters like KCBH, Buster T Bronco, and Eye Patch pops in from time to time.

www.thesouthstands.com will take you there.

it was a big loss for me personally when they left this place. I had to delete a bunch of PMs a while back because my box was full and I gave up a bunch of classics from Slap and Tredici (Now I wish I would have kept them). I felt like I could have been friends with both of them in real life. Best Wishes to both.
