I've now got Security+ under my belt.
I finally got my first cert that will help me progress my career in the IT world. I took the COMPTIA Security+ exam and passed with flying colors. I was lucky the material I was given was pretty decent and helpful. I am also finally using the Air Force to pay for my Bachelors in IT Management, I just started a few classes at the beginning of this week.
I'm hoping to get my A+ and Network+ before the summer of 2009. Hopefully the Air Force pays for both of them.
Anyone else have any IT certs?

Congrats, I have my A+ hardware cert, never took the software side.
But now I'm not using it all.
Having the A+ doesnt mean as much as it use too.

I have had a pretty successful IT career. Certs can be a good way to get in the door.
I don't have any. Thought about it a few times, studied a bit. Most of the material is useless.
In all my experience I have only worked with one guy who had a bunch of certs who was worth anything.
