Cuz nobody did one yet and the NBA season is already 4 days old.
Nugs nearly won opening night and had one hell of a comeback last night against the clippers. Down by 18 at half and won. Now Melo is back tonight, opening night for the Lakers. I expect us to lose by double digits, hope Im wrong and Melo can fit right in with how they played the first 2 games, which IMO has been great. |

I think the Lakers are alot better this season than last with a healthy Andrew Bynum and with Pau Gasol with a training camp under his belt. Odoms coming off the bench with a better Farmar will make them a force in the West.

great run to end that half. Gotta keep Kobe in foul trouble this second half. Also, Melo has 0 points.

I think if they stay healthy this might be the best nuggs team in about 15 years. Not saying much, but I like they way they have played for all but the first half last night. Been playing good team defense.

I hope you are right. I just don't see Karl getting it done, and have a feeling AI will be gone. I think its going to be a lottery year. Which will of course mean getting the worst possible pick because the lottery (NBA) hates the Nuggets.

depends on whether he feels they can compete for a title the next few years.
This worries me. http://www.denverpost.com/nuggets/ci_10868616 Quote:

This Nuggets team should be pretty good. Key factor and it's very iffy, is going to be whether Nene can stay somewhat healthy. Karl still sucks and the west is still extremely deep. |

I hate basketball. Besides being just way too long of a season, it's run by the worst commissioner in sports, and is clearly rife with corruption.

Reportedly Stephen A. Smith of ESPN says A.I will head to Detroit for Billups and McDyess.
The Nuggets are discussing a trade that would send point guard Allen Iverson to the Detroit Pistons for former Nuggets Chauncey Billups and Antonio McDyess, ESPN reported this morning. Iverson, acquired from the Philadelphia 76ers in the 2006-07 season, is a perfect fit for the Pistons, who will be an excellent scoring complement to Tayshaun Prince and Rasheed Wallace, both of whom will be satisfied with fewer shots. Iverson, 33, will be a free agent after this season. The Pistons might let Iverson play out the year or trade his contract later in the season and go with Rodney Stuckey at point guard. Acquiring Billups (14.8 points last season) and McDyess will stabilize the Nuggets, who'll be improving their defense and adding two proven winners to their roster. The Nuggets have been in a cost-cutting mode since trading Marcus Camby to the Los Angeles Clippers and letting Eduardo Najera go to free agency. Adding Denver-native Billups means another $36 million through 2010-11 (team option for 2011-12). http://www.rockymountainnews.com/new...l/?partner=RSS |

Source: Iverson traded to Detroit
By Adrian Wojnarowski, Yahoo! Sports 7 minutes ago Yahoo! Sports Denver has traded All-Star guard Allen Iverson to Detroit in exchange for Chauncey Billups and Antonio McDyess, a league executive with knowledge of the talks said. The deal is expected to be completed within the hour. http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news;_yl...yhoo&type=lgns |

Well I didn't think he AI would get traded already, I thought it would have been a trade deadline deal. So now that they are bringing back Chauncey and Dice maybe they can bring back Phonz, or even Robert Pack while they are at it.

Rockets looking good with the pickup of Artest.
If he can keep his cool this year and its a HUGE if I know, but if he can, then Houston is going to be even more dangerous of a team than they were last year. As for teh Nuggets: This year will be full of epic fail. Southwest division looks like its going to be stupid difficult again. Chris Paul is teh awesome. Freaky how good that guy is. |
