He just stood out in my eyes.
Should be fun watch the battle for a roster spot.
Jerome Murphy #45 got so shellacked in the scrimmage by Dysert it wasn't even funny. He's 4th string.

I am hoping Louis Murphy heals from his groin injury, pushes Carter off the roster, and eventually gets ahead of Bolden on the depth chart.

Louis YOUNG...agreed!

He and Boyett have missed valuable time and that is a shame as I think both of these guys can make this roster and push dead weight (Tony C and Nacho) off.

Actually agree with Desir but thats another story.

Still, b****ing over a 5th CB?

Seriously.
Yes, seriously.

Tony Carter seems to hit the field more than any 5th CB out there and when he does..most times bad things happen. Injuries have hit us pretty bad at CB that past few years. That's why we had to endure the likes of Quentin Jammer and Marquice Cole.

All I'm saying is there are better options that won't hurt us and I believe we need to explore those options. I want what I assume you want...the best 53 we can get.

If only we could find a #5 corner who knows the system well and has lots of experience not only in the regular season but also the postseason...

Oh wait? Tony Carter does?

If you're a #5 corner and don't perform like Champ or Revis in their primes, you're a bust.

people liked Tony Carter in 2013 a lot, and they may again with a great pass rush.

Also I think Webster has shown promise.

No. He doesn't. All he does is grab jerseys, gets penalized 15 yards (many times on 3rd downs (did you watch the SuperBowl?), makes lame ass attempts to tackle (not something a CB..even a PRO #5 CB should be doing) and gets burned constantly.

He is Tito Paul 2.0.

I disagree on TC obviously but I agree on Webster. He is everything TC is not. He will hit and is a willing tackler. I have high hopes for him taking the next step in year 2.

I think it was in 2012. Which had a better pass rush with dumervil and Von. Hopefully this pass rush will have a big affect on our CB production too.

No 'hopefully' about it. Absolutely will make things much easier for the DBs

Heard that Kirwan wasn't saying great words about Tony Carter yesterday. Who proceeding to get burned twice in practice. "That's his MO"

Carter parlayed the SD comeback game into making people think he had a great year. He was benched in the Carolina game if I remember correctly. Denver could do better at number 4 cb and he OK at number 5.

The Broncos don't even know what they have in their #3CB Kayvon Webster. Everytime I've seen him in a game, he gets burned repeatedly. Same thing happens to Carter and Roby.

Perfectly ok with Carter as our 5th CB. Think the guy gets too much hate.

Is Andre Brown(former Texans and Giants RB ) worth a look after clearing waivers?

Carter may have had some bad plays, but he has proven he can hang with the best WR's throughout a game and hold his own doing it. Julio Jones, and Andre Johnson are the ones that stand out in my mind but I'm sure there are more.

If there were no draft pick loyalties in the NFL he'd be the #3.

The #3 what? Clipboard CB? Waterboy? Pizza gopher?
There is a reason why CB was a big time need for the Broncos. We needed a top notch guy in Talib, Harris is a good #2 and excells in the slot, we needed a top notch #3 who can help out in coverage for nickel and multiple WR sets.
Ideally Carter never sees the field and his a healthy scratch or pure special teams guy going forward. That means Roby, Webster and Bolden are working out well.
