Can't keep me all and it's obvious Elway doesn't admit a draft mistake till their rookie contract is up so carter won't make the 53 anyway.

I'd rather have a retread veteran on a one year rental. Carter turned the one monday night football game against the Chargers a few years ago into people thinking he is good.

What does that have to do with Carter being an average player?

The Texans will be fine. They have talent but their biggest issue is the QB position.
You have a journeyman vet who should be your 3rd string QB, a rookie who is overhyped and should have been a 5th round pick. It will be interesting to watch their season progress.

I hope we cut him, I hope he gets a starting CB job with another team and then I want to see Peyton target and torch him so badly that he gets benched in the 2nd quarter.

Funny you should say that just today I watched my first episode of Game of Thrones. I immediately watched three more.

I had to Google your phrase, looks like I gotta watch into the 4th season to "get it" This looks good I might be there by next week.

Game of Thrones is quite the addiction man. Can't wait for the next season. Oh and don't open any of the threads on the series. You'll only ruin something for yourself.

He should also avoid the second to last episode of the 3rd season.

At best. I'd give him a D or D-. He hurts us more than helps and gets penalized at crucial times (3rd down situation where we had a stop etc..).

He is not worthy of this roster.

I don't know about you guys, but I am appalled that our fifth string cornerback isn't an A+, all-pro player.

We're doomed.

And for my 1,000th post which has taken me over a decade here let me just say that Murphy or Young would give us depth. Tony Carter is absolutely replaceable. I think I would prefer a vet signing though if neither of these 2 step it up more in Training Camp.

If you're taking requests for your 1001st post, I would like to request you name one good 5th string CB? For some bonus leeway you can use a 4th stringer too.

I know. I just feel like we would be better served using those resources to bring Jahri Evans in to compete with Ryan Miller at guard.

There will be a good veteran player cut somewhere who is BETTER than Tony Carter. Jabari Greer and Assante Samuel are both better than TC and available via FA. They may be old but they are better. I know...they want $$$$.

Should have drafted Pierre Desir in the 3rd/4th but that ship has sailed. He may even be better ultimately than Roby but I digress...

The Patriots have Logan Ryan and Alfonzo Dennard who are both better than TC as 4th and 5th string.

Look, having watched Tony for a few years now it is clear that he has not gotten better. Most daily beat writers like Mason, Lammey etc.. have remarked that he has even regressed from where he was a few years ago. When I watch the games I see him grab jerseys and usually get called for it. His tackling is a joke because he doesn't seem to give much effort. Bal game with Pitta where he gave a half hearted shove and Pitta kept going. In the Super Bowl some **** receiver named Jermaine Kearse blew right past him and I swear TC didn't even try to tackle him to save that touchdown. I don't see effort from him. He is constantly getting burned. I hate him...enough said.

I get your point...5th string CB's aren't meant to be Pro Bowlers or stars. But give me someone with heart and passion (like Boyett at S who I hope wins a spot) and a bit more talent who doesn't make as many mistakes as TC and I am happy.

Post 1001 complete.

It just sucks when our injury luck always has a 4th or 5th pushed into a bigger role. Talib playing 16 games? No one knows how Harris will be or if he can play all 16. For me, id rather see bolden playing over carter. For a 5th option he sure is on the field a lot.
