And for my 1,000th post which has taken me over a decade here let me just say that Murphy or Young would give us depth. Tony Carter is absolutely replaceable. I think I would prefer a vet signing though if neither of these 2 step it up more in Training Camp.

If you're taking requests for your 1001st post, I would like to request you name one good 5th string CB? For some bonus leeway you can use a 4th stringer too.

I know. I just feel like we would be better served using those resources to bring Jahri Evans in to compete with Ryan Miller at guard.

There will be a good veteran player cut somewhere who is BETTER than Tony Carter. Jabari Greer and Assante Samuel are both better than TC and available via FA. They may be old but they are better. I know...they want $$$$.

Should have drafted Pierre Desir in the 3rd/4th but that ship has sailed. He may even be better ultimately than Roby but I digress...

The Patriots have Logan Ryan and Alfonzo Dennard who are both better than TC as 4th and 5th string.

Look, having watched Tony for a few years now it is clear that he has not gotten better. Most daily beat writers like Mason, Lammey etc.. have remarked that he has even regressed from where he was a few years ago. When I watch the games I see him grab jerseys and usually get called for it. His tackling is a joke because he doesn't seem to give much effort. Bal game with Pitta where he gave a half hearted shove and Pitta kept going. In the Super Bowl some **** receiver named Jermaine Kearse blew right past him and I swear TC didn't even try to tackle him to save that touchdown. I don't see effort from him. He is constantly getting burned. I hate him...enough said.

I get your point...5th string CB's aren't meant to be Pro Bowlers or stars. But give me someone with heart and passion (like Boyett at S who I hope wins a spot) and a bit more talent who doesn't make as many mistakes as TC and I am happy.

It just sucks when our injury luck always has a 4th or 5th pushed into a bigger role. Talib playing 16 games? No one knows how Harris will be or if he can play all 16. For me, id rather see bolden playing over carter. For a 5th option he sure is on the field a lot.

I like using TJ as a mike and bringing QC on the field. Our top 3 safties are better than our bottom 5 cb.

You'll get hooked on that show.

I didn't start watching until this year and then watched all four seasons in about 3 weeks. I caught up in time to watch the final episode of Season 4 when it came out, the rest I watched on demand.

1. There's a good chance he will

2. If Bolden doesn't beat out Carter, then you should be directing your anger at Bolder and not Carter

So we've established that only one team in the NFL has a better #4 corner (Dennard, Logan Ryan is #3/nickel back) than our #5?

It's also worth noting that team had to specifically load up to match up with the Broncos this year.

You really want me to analyze 32 rosters...I do have a job.

Tony is trash and we have better options. I've also never been a Bolden fan but at least from all accounts he is making progress and getting better which is something TC is certainly not doing. I'll just trust that the coaching staff will make the right decision and cut him.

I'm not one to usually get sucked into shows or series, but Game of Thrones is very cool.

I also enjoyed True Detective, but that was only 8 episodes.

If Bolden doesn't beat him out I will then direct all emotional hysterics to the front office for picking a chump who couldn't beat out Carter.

Make sure to get through the first episode or two before you pass judgment. They are kind of slow, building the foundation.

After that, I don't think there is another show in existence that escalates as quickly.

Never watched it until recently. My son got into it and I watched a few when I visited him early this summer.

So I fired up Netflix and watched the whole series in July.....
GREAT show. As you said one or two slow to start...then it hooks ya!
