Cash-in wasnt the right words, meant to say get a bigger contract if he has a better year.

He wont get Sherman/Haden type but i can see him get 6-7 million a year somewhere next year if he does well.

CARD SUSPENDS CONTRACT ADVISOR MARTIN MAGID’S CERTIFICATION

Based on information presented to the National Football League Players Association (“NFLPA”), a determination was made that NFLPA Certified Contract Advisor Martin Magid failed to meet his professional obligations to his former client, Elvis Dumervil, thereby violating the NFLPA Regulations Governing Contract Advisors. When questioned by the NFLPA about his actions surrounding the termination of Mr. Dumervil’s contract by the Denver Broncos, Magid gave several statements under oath that, along with other evidence discovered by an NFLPA investigation into the matter, provided a basis to issue a disciplinary complaint. On October 22, 2013, after reviewing the evidence, the NFLPA Committee on Agent Regulation and Discipline (“CARD”) imposed discipline of a six (6) month suspension of Magid’s certification and a $25,000 fine.

On October 23, 2013, Magid appealed the CARD decision, and a hearing was set before Arbitrator Roger Kaplan. In a decision issued by Kaplan on June 16, 2014, the arbitrator found that Magid’s insufficient knowledge of the CBA and negligence violated NFLPA Regulations Governing Contract Advisors, and he upheld the six (6) month suspension; he revoked the fine. Therefore, Magid is suspended for a period lasting six (6) months from the date of the decision.

NFL: The 7 Worst Quarterbacks Set to Start in 2014

7. Matt Schaub, Oakland Raiders

6. Carson Palmer, Arizona Cardinals

5. Alex Smith, Kansas City

No one seems to know exactly how good Alex Smith is. After a series of largely forgettable seasons to kick off his tenure with the San Francisco 49ers, Smith was the starting QB for a full season with a Niners squad that went 13-3-0 before being supplanted by Colin Kaepernick and shipping off to Kansas City. While the Chiefs went 11-4 with Smith under center, the 30-year-old remains an enigma, as the Chiefs failed to make a significant mark on the postseason. There’s also the matter of Jamaal Charles, who came back from an injury shortened 2012 to deliver a knockout 2013 campaign. The reason he’s so high on this list? After eight seasons, no one knows if he’s any good. That’s fairly damning in and of itself, especially for a number one overall pick.
4. Josh McCown, Tampa Bay

3. Chad Henne, Jacksonville Jaguars

2. Matt Cassel, Minnesota Vikings

1. Ryan Fitzpatrick, Houston Texans

I think Johnny is lower on his depth chart. He's not the starter. Hoyer is.

This is a pretty ridiculous and poorly thought-out writeup. Lazy, plain and simple.

The problem with Smith is not that nobody knows how good he is, it's the exact opposite: everybody knows, and it isn't all that good. He's been in the league long enough that to expect some dramatic turnaround in his down-field passing and risk-taking tendencies wouldn't be realistic. He can't or won't throw it deep and he plays to not lose. He's an above average quarterback, but not by much and not by enough to win you a game by himself if other parts of your team are not working.

The author of that piece seems like an idiot.

Jacksonville is in a good situation with Henne. They have their #1 QB sitting on the bench right behind Henne which makes a lot of sense. The question is, will Bortles out perform Henne for the starting spot? If Bortles does out perform Henne during training camp and preseason then he deserves to start anyway.

Also, I be laughing hysterically if Cassel all of a sudden becomes a viable number 1 QB for the Vikings...

I agree that he's gonna be a total bust in the NFL. But to say he got ate up in college last year?

Didn't he go from QB to TE to OT in like 3 years? Makes sense.
