And Stevie Johnson is traded from the Bills to the 49'rs for a late rounder. That's a great pickup for them IMO. They needed a WR.

Brandon Marshall is the latest wide receiver to hit the jackpot.

The Bears wideout just tweeted out word that he signed a $30 million extension with the team, and the team has subsequently announced he signed a three-year extension which will keep him there through the 2017 season.

He signed the contract during an appearance on “The View,” which we missed because we stand up when we go to the bathroom

He also announced that he will donate $1 million to treatment for people with mental health issues. Marshall himself has been open about his own struggle with mental illness, and the way treatment helped him turn his life around.

Good for B Marsh. He has done a very nice job in maturing and growing into a solid citizen.

Still my favorite #15 on the Broncos.

SoCal's morality lesson for the day:

Owner makes a few questionable personnel choices in his attempt to win another Superbowl before he is too sick to be aware: DIE IN A FIRE

Guy gets arrested multiple times for beating up women, and is a total cancer for half his career: HE DESERVES ALL THE GOOD THAT COMES HIS WAY

Former Browns WR Greg Little was claimed by the Raiders, per source.

This is a guy who has turned his life around. I remember after a Sunday Night or Monday Night game last year he was on the set and didn't even talk about the game he just had but just about how getting help for mental health really helped him out a lot and how he was grateful for it. He's been incident free for awhile, so it looks like he's made some strides in overcoming his demons. So yes....I am happy for him and I'm glad he got paid. That he will contribute 1m for mental health programs is a terrific thing as well.

A group of retired NFL players says in a lawsuit filed Tuesday that the league, thirsty for profits, illegally supplied them with risky narcotics and other painkillers that numbed their injuries for games and led to medical complications down the road.

The league obtained and administered the drugs illegally, without prescriptions and without warning players of their potential side effects, to speed the return of injured players to the field and maximize profits, the lawsuit alleges. Players say they were never told about broken legs and ankles and instead were fed pills to mask the pain. One says that instead of surgery, he was given anti-inflammatories and skipped practices so he could play in games. And others say that after years of free pills from the NFL, they retired from the league addicted to the painkillers.

...

The drug lawsuit names eight players, including three members of the NFL champion 1985 Chicago Bears: Hall of Fame defensive end Richard Dent, offensive lineman Keith Van Horne and quarterback Jim McMahon. Lawyers seek class-action status, and they say in the filing that more than 500 other former players have signed on to the lawsuit.

Taxpayers finished paying off Sports Authority in Jan. 2012. Only taking 11 years (Jan. 2001 - Jan. 2012).

Looks like taxpayers in Minnesota will be on the hook for a lot more than that.

I see no issues with either situation.
