When I did mock drafts on the Indy forum, I was a big advocate for trading the Luck pick and getting the bounty. There were a few QBs that I really liked on film, particularly Osweiler and Wilson. But I really liked Osweiler's potential. I'm not a scout, I just play one on the interwebz.

Unless he is really showing that much improvement and the Broncos truly feel he will be a franchise QB after Peyton retires...

I guess its good we are not interested in trade talks for the Bro

We have no idea what he looks like in practice, maybe the coaches think he can be the guy post Manning

Don't know why some are shocked. That is why you always keep the cupboard stocked with QB's. Just because you have a franchise one doesn't mean you ignore the position.
Too much value and they can always be traded. Normally for a very nice haul.

Chargers cuts

Derek Cox and Johnny Patrick and fullback Le'Ron McClain.

Cox was one of San Diego's big free agent acquisitions a year ago, signing a four-year contract for about $20 million, with about $10 million guaranteed. But he struggled and was benched three times in four games.

McClain played in 34 games for the Chargers the last two seasons, with 25 carries for 74 yards and 10 catches for 22 yards.

Brandon browner says he's been reinstated. He's a UFA now if it's true. Could be an interesting target for the broncos. He likely wouldn't cost much.

Dude is still facing a possible multigame suspension next year as part of the deal if you read this:
http://www.usatoday.com/story/sports...agent/6039557/

Plus being one strike away from at the minimum 1 year suspension I would say he comes in extremely cheap. I bet he ends up in NE.

William Clay Ford Sr., the owner of the Detroit Lions, has died at the age of 88.

Ford Motor Co. said in a statement Sunday that Ford died of pneumonia at his home. He was the last surviving grandson of automotive pioneer Henry Ford and owned the Lions since 1964.

Looks like $6.25 million dead money if they do this.

Buccaneers' Dashon Goldson hires tackling coach

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers safety has hired a tackling coach to help him adjust to the NFL's new rules and avoid another campaign's worth of hefty league fines, according to Anwar Richardson of Yahoo Sports.

"I said this can't be cool because every time I hit somebody I'm getting a fine," Goldson told Richardson. "At that point, I realized I have to figure something out."

"When a referee comes up to me and says, 'Be careful today,' what do you mean?" Goldson said. "You're going to call me out before the game even started. Am I brought up? Am I talked about?"

This is a great idea that a bunch of guys would benefit from IMO
