The Cowboys signed QB Jon Kitna.

2006 called....they want their QB back.

They can't get anymore ****ed. Romo is a screw up at times but he is still light years ahead of the other QB's on that roster. They need to draft a better back up.

They also need a new HC and GM.

And put Monte Kiffin to pasture. That defense is as bad as the D he left in SC.

Some stats/tidbits going into Week 17 of the regular season:

Peyton Manning has 5,211 yards passing on the season and needs 266 yards to pass Drew Brees and his record of 5,476 yards set during the 2011 season.

Frank Gore has quietly complied another solid season for the 49ers with 1,114 rushing yards. Gore sits at 9,953 career rushing yards and will surpass 10,000 career rushing yards with 47 rushing yards on Sunday. Impressive career, considering his injury history coming into the NFL.

It looks like LeSean McCoy will lead the NFL in rushing. McCoy has 1,476 rushing yards. Jamaal Charles in 2nd in the NFL with 1,287 rushing yards.

Josh Gordon leads the NFL with 1,564 receiving yards....and that's with him being suspended the first 2 games of the season.

Brandon Marshall has 94 receptions this season. With 6 more receptions on Sunday, he would notch his 5th season of 100+ receptions, tying the NFL record held by Andre Johnson and Wes Welker.

I remember touting Central Michigan WR Antonio Brown and couldn't believe he lasted well into the 6th round of the 2010 NFL Draft. Brown seems to get better every season for Pittsburgh. 101 receptions for 1,412 receiving yards and 8 receiving TDs this season....plus he averages 13.4 yards a punt return with a return TD.

I'm glad to see NW Ohio high school product (Springfield High School, same as Rick Upchurch) and former Toledo Rocket Eric Page doing well with Tampa Bay. He signed with Denver as an UDFA in 2012 and blew out an ACL right before training camp and missed the season. He caught on with Tampa Bay this season and is in the Top 10 in the NFL in kickoff returns and punt returns.

Tony Gonzalez will be playing (most likely) his last NFL game of his career this weekend. He's compiled some insane career stats. It will be tough for any TE to reach his records, as he's been so durable during his career. 17 seasons and he's only missed 2 games. 1,321 career receptions for 15,071 receiving yards, and 111 receiving TDs.

It's hard to believe that John Abraham is still sacking QBs at a double digit rate in his 14th NFL season. Abraham has 11.5 sacks with Arizona this season....and 133.5 career sacks.

Vontaze Burfict sure proved the draft experts wrong. Burfict is having an outstanding season with the Bengals. 157 tackles, 3 sacks, 1 forced fumble, 2 fumble recoveries, and an INT. Props to defensive coordinator Mike Zimmer and Burfict for corralling his energy in a positive fashion. His talent was on display at Arizona State, but he was out of control at times during his junior season.

Matt Prater already has 140 points this season, which is a Denver Broncos team record. The previous mark of 138 points was held by Terrell Davis. I'm glad the team kept Matt Prater around back in 2008 when I was screaming to keep Jason Elam around. Nothing against Jason Elam, but Denver obviously made the right call in developing Matt Prater.

If the pokes can protect orton, they may have a shot.

Unless the Eagles just completely don't show up I think it will be a rout. Eagles are a lot better than most people realize.

I think the Cowboys will lean more on DeMarco Murray and Jason Witten and try to control the ball and clock dinking and dunking to keep the Eagles offense off the field.

They can't protect Romo and he's fleet of foot. Orton is a statue and nowhere near the QB.

Ironically, mobile QB's have been some of the most sacked....

Ryan Tannehill has been sacked the most in 2013
Aaron Rodgers was sacked the most in 2012
Alex Smith was sacked the most in 2011
Jay Cutler the most sacked in 2010
Aaron Rodgers and Ben Roethlisburger the most sacked in 2009

All of the above are pretty much mobile QB's who can move around and avoid the pass rush and extend plays.

Ironically most of those OL's were severely crappy or coached by Mike "7 step drop or die" Martz.

Might want to settle down that enthusiasm just a bit. You just got spanked hard on your home field by a team that turned the ball over 4 times, twice in your own endzone. The hawks basically got b****slapped. Better worry about your own team making it instead of worrying about us.

its a shame the AZ cards could be 11-5 and watch 5 other teams with worse records and easier schedules playing in the play-offs while they dust off their golf clubs.
