Well Blackmon needed some sort of relief from losing every week.

Seriously though, I think NFL needs to catch up and realize that you'd rather have athletes smoking marijuana than drinking alcohol.

Don't get the hate on Gruden, he is wildly entertaining and brings almost a fans perspective to the booth when announcing.
I get why Collinsworth was hated before he moved to SNF, he was bad but pairing him with Michaels has improved him dramatically.

But Gus Johnson puts all to shame. Dude is just a bad ass on the mic. UH OH!

Or, they could do neither. Something about takin a hit from a bong before hitting the gym doesn't seem right.

Smoking copious amounts of weed can promote this kind of sleek physical shape.

I hated Gruden the coach, but Gruden the announcer is the GREATEST OF ALL TIME.

NFL should remove marijuana from the prohibited list. It's a silly rule in today's world.

Players should just follow the NFL rules if they don't want to get suspended. It's a silly mistake to make.

No but all humans/citizens have the right drink and smoke (if they're in the right state/country).

Please link me to any negative incident involving smoking weed. I agree with the drinking though. Everyone drinks though.

You people put athletes on an imaginary pedestal while your favorite companies' CEO that's getting paid 100's of millions is off snorting a line and supporting prostitution.

If you people put yourself on this same pedestal you might be something.

Right because we all know everyone follows the rules in school all through the professional workplace.

Yep. At some point, there will be a test case and the NFL will lose. If it's legal in the state where you reside, how does the NFL have the right to ban it for you?

You follow whatever rules exist in whatever workplace you're in if you want to keep your job.

Violate the rules, and you'll probably get fired.

You realize that DUI's cover more than just alcohol, don't you? Plenty of people are hurt/killed every year because people drive under the influence of weed.

What's insane about the rule is it was created because football players are considered role models to the youth of America. Yet by making it illegal players caught using pot create much more visibility about players using pot than it ever would is it were a non issue. Relative to there objective the NFL makes it far worse by banning it with the resulting publicity of a offending player.
