Maybe they can pickup Stanzi, kFcdud thought Stanzi was the answer, he just didn't know what the question was.

So the league's annual random test didn't pick up on him being hooked on pcp?

Hope somebody looks into Urban Meyer's shenanigans. Did he help cover up a homicide? No statute of limitations on that.

It's looking like my boy (local Toledo high school and former Toledo Rocket) Eric Page is probably going to make Tampa Bay's roster this season as their return man.

Page is averaging over 30 yards on kickoff returns and close to 10 yards on punt returns in the preseason.

He had the inside track on that role in Denver last season as a rookie UDFA before he blew out his ACL right before training camp.

Good for him, I hope he makes the roster and plays well for the Bucs.

I saw him around Toledo a lot after he blew out his knee and you could tell he was depressed and down about it.

I think he could eventually contribute as a slot WR in addition to being a return man.

In other Rocket/NW Ohio related NFL tidbits, WR Stephen Williams has had an awesome preseason for the Seahawks and has the inside track as the 3rd WR for them. The Seahawks love his ability to get down the field to catch the deep ball.

The Cowboys love former Rocket Barry Church and he's solidly entrenched as their starting free safety.

Former Rocket Lance Moore continues to be a favorite WR of Drew Brees in New Orleans,. Moore is underrated and snagged 65 receptions for 1,041 yards and 6 TDs last season.

The Steelers starting and backup QB both have ties to NW Ohio. Ben Roethlisberger grew up and played his high school ball in Findlay, Ohio, about 30 to 40 minutes south of Toledo. His backup Bruce Gradkowski played QB and had a stellar career with the Toledo Rockets.

Former Toledo Rocket and 4 time all MAC offensive lineman John Greco is the starting left guard for the Browns. Greco has stuck around the league since 2008 and seems to be more suited as a guard and not his original position of left tackle.

Punter Brett Kern (former Bronco) is with the Titans.

Former Rocket WR Andrew Hawkins snagged 51 receptions for the Bengals last season.

Former Rocket RB Jalen Parmele looks to be on the bubble with the Titans after playing with the Jaguars the previous season.

Former local high school product and Ohio State Buckeye Dane Sanzenbacher is on the bubble with the Bengals. I'd love to see him stick, as I know he has the talent to be an NFL WR/punt returner.

Former local high school product Nate Washington is still playing for the Titans and has had an excellent NFL career with 4,730 receiving yards and 35 TD and he's still going strong.

I think that's about it for local football in the NFL....I forgot to include Miami punter Brandon Fields who played high school ball in Toledo.

New Browns head coach Rob Chudzinski is a Toledo kid and played his high school ball at St. John's Jesuit High School in Toledo before playing for the University of Miami Hurricanes as a tight end from 1986–1990, winning a national championship with the Hurricanes in 1987, and again in 1989. He started 3 seasons for the Canes during their glory years. I'd love to see Chud do well with Cleveland.

$765m / 4500 players = $170k per. Seems like a good deal for the #NFL

I'm not going to laugh too hard. We're one infraction away from losing Von Miller.

I'd say Elway's forethought to pick OZ has resulted in the likelihood we would still make the playoffs this year if Peyton went down (God Forbid)
I didn't really have a problem with the Osweiller pick. We definitely needed a promising young QB to groom for after Manning's departure. However, after watching him in the preseason so far I am not convinced that he could face real NFL defenses in regular season games and be successful (right now). For this reason, i've been wondering why we don't have a veteran backup on the roster (a Charlie Batch type). A smart game manager that can learn the offense quickly and won't make mistakes. Let's be honest, if Peyton goes down for the year we are done (like basically every team and their starting QB). But if he misses 6 games, we need a guy that gives us a shot at winning 3 of them and I just don't think Oz is that guy right now. So either they are banking on Manning's health, thinking that he will either be completely healthy or that any sort of neck or nerve injury will probably be serious enough to put him out for the year, or they have already decided that they would trade for a QB if the time came. Then again, they had Brock with the 1s in the preseason so maybe they really think he can be good enough.

Those seahawk fans should really do a spoof retirement mockumentary kinda thing about his retirement. I'm thinking dripping sarcasm layed over the top of a distant, deranged sort of hatred while they reflect on his achievements and contributions as a Seahawk.

Von may like to have fun but I really don't think he's that stupid. This is it for him and he has to know that. I'm sure that all the important people in the front office and in the locker room have reached out to him and made it clear. Yes, it's on him now, and no i dont think he'll **** it up.

Oz's first season we did carry a vet qb. I suppose the FO feels after watching him in practice he will give us as much as a vet qb would at this time. I am inclined to trust the FO's judgment on this one. We get to see more of Oz tonight

Curry and McClain are too of the biggest WTF's in draft history.
Both were supposed to be near mortal locks to be great. At least McClain was a serious ****ing moron. That explains his issues.

That dude with the 319 jersey would get annoying after a couple minutes. I would have to tell him to get off my lawn.
