Sure it wasn't the 1st game of the 2005 season?

I was at the SD game the next week and at the half the boos were deafening. Plummer was terrible in that 1st half.

Then Champ came out of no where and saved that season with a long pick-6.

Read on a Texans blog that Joe Mays is running with the first team and projects to be a starter for them this year. Good luck with that, Houston.

Might be better for him playing the 3-4.

I bet picking up Mays will be for Houston what Holiday was for us. They won't believe we just up an cut him.

Everyone will have a meltdown moment if they have their buttons pushed long enough. I'll bet you have even had a heated argument with a friend before where you called each other names or something similar and you remained friends long after the fact. It happens but Jake was a standout person for the way he was treated here for what he brought this town.

Tank Carradine - DL - 49ers

49ers second-round DE Tank Carradine (ACL surgery) is not close to practicing.
Carradine opened camp on the active/PUP list, and may stay on reserve/PUP into the season. Viewed internally as the 49ers' heir apparent to RE Justin Smith, Carradine's rehab has been "slowed down" by club medical staff since running a 4.93 forty just before the draft. Reserve/PUP would cost him six games.

Thank god we didn't trade up for this guy.

Overreact much? 49'ers are known for benching rookies. LaMichael James was a healthy scratch for the entire 2012 season too. I'm sure they'll be just fine with Aldon Smith and Ahmad Brooks at OLB to start the season. Broncos don't have that luxury. Quanterus Smith is practicing and will play in the preseason even though he is wearing a brace and still having issues.

I wanted no part of him in the first and was adamant about it.
In the second round he was good value though, even with the injury you're drafting him for the next 10 seasons and not just instant production for this current one.

49ers could afford to wait for him to take his time. Trading up for him wo uld have been a disaster for us though.

The Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel reports Eddie Lacy was the "standout" player at Saturday night's intrasquad scrimmage.
(The same player who was deemed "fat" and "out of shape" by Twitter rumor mongers earlier in the week.) Lacy broke off consecutive runs of 7, 16, 19, 4, 8 and 4 yards. RBs coach Alex Van Pelt downplayed Lacy's allegedly-suspect conditioning after the scrimmage, saying, "I think it's just him." James Starks got the start, Lacy was next, Johnathan Franklin was third, and Alex Green was fourth. Lacy racked up 65 yards on eight carries and played a team-high 17 snaps, one ahead of Starks and two more than Franklin. The Packers open the preseason Friday night against Arizona. Lacy remains the clear favorite to be Green Bay's lead dog.

Not bad for a fat man.

Wrong analogy. More like a disgruntled employee telling you off.

In the 2nd round it's good value even if it was us. But not in the 1st, even if the 49ers had taken him.

sports world is rarely analogous to the real world. and that's the case here. he was flipping off a fan or fans. that's it.

Jake never was fully accepted by many Broncos fans....the debate about him signing and playing for the Broncos rivaled the Manning signing with Broncos threads

His reward for helping the Broncos go to AFCCG and Mike Shanahan's only playoff win without Elway as his QB was Mike drafted his replacement.

BTW, the Plummer led Broncos went 39-15 and the Broncos were 7-4 when he was replaced.

He completed 59% of his passes, for 11,631 with 71 TD's vs. 47 INT's.....why he gets trashed so much on here is beyond me.

Well technically it was at one irritating fan...probably one of those Jay rated as a 6 instead of all those 10's who watch and root for the Bears.
