Sounds like just the kind of sensitive and delicate situation that Haley excels at...

I heard Ben was whining to the newspapers how Haley wouldn't call him. It reminds me of Brian Waters going to visit Haley and Pioli once Haley was hired. Pioli refused to meet with him. Haley just went off on him in a hallway at the team facility saying "22 guys from off the streets could win two games" (their record from the year before).

Waters was released and went to the Super Bowl and earned another pro bowl bid last season.

It's just Just weird how Haley handles things.

I didn't realize that Willis McGahee is only the 2nd player in NFL history to reach 1,000+ yards with 3 different teams. McGahee did it with Buffalo, Baltimore, and Denver.

The other back to reach that mark?

Ricky Watters, with San Francisco, Philadelphia, and Seattle.

Looking back, Ricky Watters had a damn good career.

7 season of over 1,000 yards....5 of them were over 1,200 yards.

10,643 career rushing yards with 78 rushing TDs.

Every bit as impressive are his receiving stats.

467 career receptions for 4,248 receiving yards and 13 receiving TDs....5 seasons of 50+ receptions.

Basically, he had about 15,000 yards between rushing/receiving and over 90 TDs.

Ricky Watters was alot better than people gave him credit for.....but he seemed like a "me first" player if I recall correctly.

The Baltimore Ravens plan to place their franchise tag on running back Ray Rice on Friday, a league source told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.

The 25-year-old Rice led the NFL with 2,068 yards from scrimmage, helping the Ravens win the AFC North title.

He was the only player in the NFL last season to amass more than 2,000 yards in offense, combining 1,364 yards on the ground with a team-leading 76 catches for 704 yards.

Fisher came from the Buddy Ryan school, played for him back in the SB run with duh bears. No doubt that Ryan paid that bear D for knockout hits, they were ruthless.

Chicago radio has taken for granted that Ryan, Fisher, and Williams have done this.

Hated to play against him but always respected the way he played the game, with a smile on his face.

The Broncos have had plenty of nut-punchers in their time. Part of the game.

He unnecessarily cheap-shotted people way too often. I'll only regret that noone got him in the same way.

Though, after saying that, I'm thinking someone rung his bell in the last season or two. Can't quite remember.

Man that's a huge loss for them, and probably dictates what they'll now do with their 1st round pick.

If so, there's a certain MLB that might just fall close enough for us to make a move.
