I know Chris Johnson has 2 years left on his deal, but I can see why he wants to get paid.

Another 2 years of 300+ carries and he will have 1500-1700 carries and another 200-250 touches via receptions.

That is close to 2000 touches.

Most running backs have a short shelf life....he wants to get paid before he gets put through the grinder....and the Titans won't have any problem putting him through the grinder with the current 2 year deal.

On the flip side, I can see where the Titans are coming from.

Almost every time a back gets PAID it rarely works out....RB is a tough position to pay franchise money to because of their short shelf life.

I hope they can find a happy medium, as I enjoy watching him tote the rock.

They should offer him 2 years around $20 mil. He's a running back. Fair or not, they tend to hit a wall. Long term is crazy

They have offered 10 nil a year he wants Fitzgerald money around 12 nil a year. I'd tell him to pound sand he has no leverage. He hasn't signed big deal yet so doesn't have cash to offset fines. He is being greedy as hell and Tennessee already will make him highest paid.

Nice TD run by Tim Hightower for the Redskins.

Brian Baldinger during the Beagles - Browns after a nice gainer by Hillis: "The Broncos lost a lot of talent in a short period of time."

Ya think?

Ryan Kerrigan, the rookie OLB from Purdue, looks very good for the Redskins.

I don't know how I neglected to realize this last year, but there's some irony in the fact that Shanny now has to coach DeAngie Hall in DC after burning him out of Oakland

The sideline shot of DeAngelo and Bob Slowick high fiving after the interception made me throw up a little in my mouth.

I would take Grossman over Cassel. Shanahan's QB has taken a team to the Super Bowl. Your ass grabbing homo QB hasn't.

I know Cam Newton's not looking pretty, but he's showing enough - I just get the feeling Carolina's going to be so far ahead of Denver in about 3 years as they're getting their guy experience while Denver's either sits the bench or isn't even on the team.

Matt Bosher has won the Falcons punting job and also kickoff duties.

He'll soon be known as the NFL's best tackling punter/kicker....just as he was in college.

They're letting the guy play the game the way he knows how to play it.
They're not trying to make him into something he's not

Sources: Eagles' Harris to have back surgery

Eagles offensive lineman Ryan Harris, who at one point earlier this month was the Eagles’ projected starting right tackle, will undergo back surgery, likely within the next week, two league sources told CSN’s Derrick Gunn Friday.

Citing three sources familiar with the situation, Yahoo! Sports’ Jason Cole reports that Buccaneers cornerback Aqib Talib “can expect” a four-game NFL suspension in connection with his alleged role in a March 21 shooting.

Talib, a Pro Bowl-caliber talent entering his fourth NFL season, met with commissioner Roger Goodell in New York this week to discuss the incident and impending disciplinary action.

It's funny how the media says "the Panther's just have to be patient and design an offense around his current strengths (which is not passing from the pocket) and the rest will come with time... blah, blah, blah"

Whatever. I bet he's outta the league in 4 years.

I don't see a difference between Newton and Vince Young...wait I do. Young had a better team around him his 1st year and they won a lot of close games late. I don't think Newton is going to be playing late in the 4th Quarter, down less than a TD with a chance to win late in many games this year.

Sweet TD toss by Graham Harrell on 4th down for the Packers....and a 2 point conversion to tie the game up with 35 seconds left in the 4th quarter.

I'm kinda surprised Darren Sharper isn't signed or even getting looks. Then again, I've always wondered why the guy has jumped around so much while constantly playing well. Every time he's been a FA in the past I've wanted Denver to bring him in. He'd be a good mentor for Moore, in theory.
