Default Anyone expect some player changes over the bye week?

Does anyone else think we might see the team change out some starters to get younger guys in, or just take out crap and replace it with someone else?

I would not be surprised to see, Hillis back at FB on the offensive side of the ball.
On defense, our Safeties have got to be changed. We need to get guys on the field who can tackle. Put in Barrett and Woodyard. Hell they might be out of place and inexperienced, but they have more speed than the current guys out there and they can tackle. Move Larsen to MLB, he earned a starting spot on ST put him at his natural position.

I love Shanahan here in Denver but i am getting a litte tired of seeing him dicking around and putting players out of position. Hillis is a natural FB who is better than Larsen, and Larsen is better than Webster. Why not put the best players in at their natural position?

If the Larsen at FB experiment isn't over by the Miami game I'm just gonna snap. Put Hillis at FB!

I dont want to see player change.

That loses the whole team.

I want coaches heads to roll specifically every single coach on the defensive staff.

i am not talking cutting players(well except for Hall) i am talking about bringing in younger guys who would play hard and can tackle and move Larsen back to defense and put Hillis back on the damn field

Bold prediction...
With Torain healthy, Hall gets cut.

Maybe not so bold, as a matter of fact I bet al least 30 other posters have said the same thing, I just haven't read it.

I don't see Hall getting cut, both Shanny and Bobby Turner like him too much and he's done too well for us to be cut over one game. Gotta be realistic there.

Jarvis Moss may get a chance to start after his play today, as well as Crowder.

Doubt we'll see Webster pulled, he's been solid all year.

I could see Barrett getting called up to replace Manuel.

Hall is 3rd string RB and that already tells you he's nothing special. Now throw in the 2 fumbles in a row (and this comes right after a week where Shanny stressed ball security) and what, move him to 4th string? Not worth it. Just do now what you are going to do sooner or later anyway. Cut his ass.

Alot of people don't realize but with young teams, momentum is very precious. We drive the ball down the field both times and he coughes it up. And it aint like they were some whopping blows he took either. Just pathetic ball security. 2 very negative plays to start off with, I think that set the tone. Our defense held NE to FG's after those. The offense looked like it lost confidence after that and the game was over.

I don't care if Torrain is healthy yet or not. I'd cut Hall's ass now. Might as well. He will be so far into the doghouse anyway, he's not gonna play again. Maybe as KR but I wouldn't give that guy a single handoff again this season.

Are you serious?

This kid has been a solid contributor for us that fought Selvin Young tooth and nail for the starting job, and you want to cut him because he fumbled twice in a game?

Teams just can't be doing that ****, especially with young and developing players.

He'd be gone if I had a vote. Not just because he fumbled two times tonight...which totally killed us by the way...and gave the Pats tons of needed confidence...not to mention their fans!

But, he also is pathetic as a kick returner. Am I the only one that is tired of him getting tackled at the 20 every flippin time he touches the ball?

I actually wouldn't cut him either, but Shanahan probably will. Tatum Bell had done much more for the franchise.... then had a game like this, and basically never saw the light of day again. Same for Mike Bell. Shanahan has zero tolerance for RBs who don't take care of the ball.

22.6 yards per return, about league average.

You mean the Selvin Young that eventually got beat out by a 32 year old RB? You can't be serious if you think either of those guys is nothing more then a change of pace back, a situational guy. It's not saying much when Pitman is the best RB to play this year.

And they weren't just 2 fumbles. They were 2 extremely pathetic showcases of ball security. Like I said, if he took some heavy shots, I could maybe cut him some slack. But after he lost the first one, you would think, OK, I've got to secure this ball. Then he goes right back out there and gets it "poked" out. Bottom line is, he IS the 3rd string guy and he played a major role in the loss. Did you see him get any carries after the 2nd fumble?

Huh? Tatum Bell had over 1k yards his last year here. Mike Bell was also supposedly in the doghouse already when he fumbled in Chicago.

I would be very surprised if Hall is cut.

Realistic is that he just isn't that good and won't be around too long. Shanny and Turner both liked Bell and Bell and they lasted not long either.

Well, Tatum was already headed into the doghouse, as well... from what I understand. Point being, as I recall... his fumbles were the beginning of the end for him.

Again, Martinez comes in and looks better in one game than any of our returners have looked all season. He came into a couple games last year and took a punt to the house.

Yet, he's never active. I know roster space is tight, but maybe we need to find a way to let this guy return kicks. Any advantage we can get is desperately needed right now.

To call Andre Hall "not good" is way off base IMO.

Even Selvin Young looked better at kick returns than Hall.

He isn't that good and is very average. He is third string for a reason.

I liked Hall coming into the season, but he just hasn't shown much. Pittman has looked much better, and that's not necessarily a great sign.

Pittman is much more suited for the starting role. He's got great size and still has decent speed, he's just aging.

Speaking of Pittman, it's odd how a man as physically talented as him never really panned out.

He has been a starter for many years in this league and even on a superbowl team. He has never been a great HOF RB but has been very good and has over 600 catches in his career. Not sure with what your saying with panned out.

This team needs some change on both sides of the ball as well as special team return guys. Do not ask me for the right answer... If our coaches do not know, How in the hell would I?
