Default Congrats Sooners (Ugh)

Congrats on a great bounce back game.

I didnt expect KU to win this game, OU is a great team but I was really shocked at how well they played in Norman. I really expected a blowout but they fought hard.

If they could tackle worth a damn, game might have been a bit more interesting though I still think OU wins the game. Still, losing by 14 to a top 5 team on the road is a moral victory for KU football.

Anyway, congrats Sooners, and **** you the rest of the season.

Defense is still craptacular, but they kinda settled down there in the 2nd half after that TD Kansas had in the 3rd quarter.
But that offense, 400+ yards at the half, 670 at the end of the game, scoring 45 while missing 2 field goals, geez. Downright scary how good that offense is.
I didn't have a good look at this btw because I was at the game, but the Ressing fumble in the first half where he was ruled down, was that a fumble, or was he really down?

it was a fumble no doubt about it, but man what a difference Reynolds makes
the experiment of using Harris as MLB didn't work to well Box must be in the doghouse
the offense is really good scoring 45 and leaving two TD's on the field on an overthrow to a WIDE open Gresham and Iggy dropping one that he would've takin to the house
all in all a good win

What? No love for the #1 team in the country - the TEXAS LONGHORNS?

With the new frontrunner for the Heisman Trophy? The one who is right now mopping the floor with the Missouri Tigers, a stronger team than the Kansas Jayhawks?

Oh, well. Some people just don't notice brilliance when they see it.

No one asked for your input jackass.
Maybe Alec is a Kansas fan, and wanted to talk about the OU-KU game?
Geez.

I will say though, the chances for an OU-Texas National Championship game look promising at this point.

That would be GREATNESS.

Possibly the two best offenses in each schools history in a rematch of the greatest rivalry in college ball?

Awesome.

Bring it on.

Bob...you realize that Texas was a craptastic KO return and loosing the our MLB away from being on the other end of that game...yes you guys are good, but it's more like 1a and 1b....

Yes, but Texas spotted you an 11-point lead and then won by 10. From midway in the second quarter, the Horns outscored the Sooners, 35-14. Further, by the fourth quarter, Texas was breaking off big runs while the Sooners were still a one-dimensional offense.

I think it took Texas 20 minutes to put down your press clippings and realize you could be beaten.

Rather than cite your bad kickoff return coverage (seriously, you let a white boy outrun you for 99 yards - a national championship team doesn't allow that sort of thing!), I'd bring up the quasi interception in the end zone that was ruled incomplete. That could have been a game-changer. Refs in college and the pros are inconsistent as hell regarding what's a catch and what's not a catch, particularly in the end zone. You'd have a right to whine about that one.

I hate to make this comparison but McCoy has become the college version of Tom Brady. By that I mean he's so good at reading the defense and making a quick accurate throw that he runs up 40 points and you can't remember him making any spectacular plays. Dude is close to 80% completion percentage and that is just unreal. Now that Ogbonnaya is asserting himself in the running game, defenses have to honor the run before getting after the QB and McCoy just makes so few mistakes

Anyway, I don't think we've had a BCS national championship between two schools from the same conference and I don't think we will this year either. Either Texas or OU will not even win their own division, much less their own conference, and no way should they be rewarded for that with a Top 2 slot.

Don't forget the craptastic penalties that we gave you guys to keep 3 drives going on 3rd downs...that was nice too....

If Texas and OU both win out, Alabama, Penn State and Florida each lose a game, why can't Texas and OU battle for the NC?
I don't see why not, OU and Texas are 2 of the best teams in college football right now.

Well Bob, if I wanted to start a thread about teh UT/MU game I would have.

And Mizzou does not appear to be stronger than KU right now. IN fact, Id bet KU beats Mizzou and goes to the Big 12 Championship game this year.

KU will beat Tech, will give UT all they can handle cuz its in Lawrence, and run the table through the rest of the schedule (yes, even beating the Kornflakes in Lincoln) then get payback on mizzou in the last game of the season.

And btw, OU/UT Title game is not going to happen.

The fags that run the polls will do everything they can to get USC in the title game and if UT doesnt run the table, they wont even be in there. I suspect that the title game will be Penn State and USC because college football analysts want it to be so.

I do think the Big 10 and the Pac 10 have an unfair advantage by not having a conference championship game. That's one more roadblock thrust in the way of any ACC, Big 12 or SEC team that wants to get into the BCS title game. I'd include the Big East in that unfair advantage but it is not even as good as the Mountain West since the ACC stole all their best teams.

An OU/Texas title game has slim chances, I mean it causes 2 teams to win out and 2-3 other teams suffering at least one loss.
I think the people in charge would put USC ahead of OU because of the NCAA not wanting 2 teams in the same conference up for the title game.
Penn State, if they beat Ohio State this Saturday though, will probably end up in the NC game because if they beat OSU in Columbus, they will go undeafeted.
