I'm just floored. I looked at this thread a few times when it first went up. I haven't looked since. I had to check out and see why on earth there would be seven pages and I've missed out on some good entertainment. Good work gentlemen!

I'm not allowed to call anyone unless you're on my case manager's list, so it's okay if you want to PM me with your private numbers, because I'll never call you or your children.

Posted my number on this site a bunch of times. Never had one crank call, one problem, or any reason to believe I'd have one.

It amazes me that people spend so much time on a message board yet are afraid of the people. I've met a bunch of you. Ya'll are Nuts for the Broncos but that is about it.

I once had an anonymous email with my home address in it threatening to murder my wife because someone didn't like a moderating decision I made.

In other instances, I've seen people lose jobs (or come close to) over stuff they posted online because someone found out enough about the person to make a positive ID and either run to their boss with it -- or worse, run to the press. I have a story from the New Mexico something or other printed and filed about a police officer who lost his job over stuff that he posted in the WPR forum of this site.

Posting personal information on a public forum is risky business. Most of the time, you'll be ok. But all it takes is one looney tune to ruin the party.

It's all good.

Some people here seem to think that I make arbitrary decisions around this place just so that I can get my jollies off wielding power. The reality is every decision I make is ultimately to protect the integrity of the forum and the people posting in the best ways that I know how.

It was startling, but I didn't believe the threat for a minute. It was a creepy email - dark as dark - talking about how I didn't know what they were capable of, and if I knew what they had done in their past, I'd think twice about sleeping or leaving my wife alone at home. I had an idea who it was, so I wasn't actually too concerned about it - but still - it wasn't a pleasant experience.

This was three or four years ago, before my son was born.

Something like that probably should have been reported to law enforcement... very scary and far beyond the boundaries of acceptability.

I'm pretty sure John Engelberger is going to stalk me for trying to run him out of his gravy-train starting job at some point. He looks like stalker material, too.

Credit score used to be extreemy confidential, yet often, the loan applicant was often kept from knowing exactly what prevented him from getting a favorable rate.

Then it morphed into this you NEED A HIGH NUMBER bullshiat. No matter your net worth or ability to pay, or even your debt to eqity ratio.

Now "the credit score" has bacome a reason to arbitrarily raise rates on revolving credit for something as minimal as a date recieved over the weekens, improperly made out ect.

Once one gets 2 late pays, all the revolving credtit goes to default rates. Everything.

This started during the Carter adm. and is the reason credit cards exploded in the 80's. Volker raised the prime to 22% which froze credit. States like Delaware and SD passed legislation as "tech development" luring CC companies to base operations in "zones" to issue credit aver the 21% usury law.

Not make a joke out of something as sick and downright odd as that, but seriously, how many times do I have to say, "I'm sorry" for that?
