Default Online Classes?

I start my online courses in November and was trying to get some tips, suggestions or maybe hear from your experiences. I'm worried that i'll put off the class work and play World of Warcraft or surf the internet instead, so I would love some suggestions to disipline myself.

They are 8 week courses and i'm only taking 2 of them The first one is a required class for that school (it's actually about online learning, ) and American Government.

I figured these would be excellent classes to try and get into the routine of online learning.

Anyone out there?

It can be difficult not to get distracted. I take a lot of on-line courses for work and I am very easily distracted. I try to set up in a spot with my laptop to be comfortable, but not too comfy (or I am tempted to sleep particularly give some of the classes). I try to keep drinks, snacks near by so I can't be getting up all the time, plus caffeine keeps me from getting sleepy. The other thing is a lot of these classes do have tests at the end so I keep a word file open to copy and paste notes from the course into it. That way I can run a search through the text later while taking the test. Plus then I am doing a multitask that keeps me from being too distracted by less class related activities. Oh and I play loud music to keep my energy up too.
