Leonard Little, DE Rams, Rumor Denial - The Orange Mane

Despite random and unsubstantiated rumors that the Broncos are interested in acquiring defensive end Leonard Little from the Rams, we’re told that the Rams won’t be trading him.

Little was a third-round pick of the Rams in 1998. On October 19 of his rookie year — his birthday — Little drove while drunk and took the life of Susan Gutweiler. (The situation didn’t draw nearly as much attention and scrutiny as it should have, possibly because if someone had uttered in 1998 the term “blogosphere,” the response would have been “Gesundheit.”)

Little has since become one of the best defensive linemen in the game. Even though he’ll celebrate his 34th birthday when the Rams host the Cowboys later this month, Little is still a key piece of the Rams’ defense.

And it’s not surprising that the current coaching staff and front office want to keep him. With plenty of uncertainty in St. Louis, everyone drawing a paycheck now will have a better chance of drawing one in 2009 if the Rams can reverse their 0-4 start. With Little on the team, there’s a better chance of that happening.

Not sure why the Rams think he's that good that they wouldn't consider trading his ass. Its not like the Rams aren't any good this year and have major issues......oh wait they are terrible this year and could use some help.

Where did it say they talked to the Rams? All I saw was an article where Klis said he's "sure they've talked about it" or basically it was all total crap.

If he was the sole difference between winning a SB and not winning a game...I still wouldn't want him.

He doesn't deserve to be in the NFL much less play in Orange.
