Default Nate Webster...

Anyone else think it's a tad redundant to celebrate like he won the SB everytime he makes a tackle. I could understand tackles for a loss, a sack...int...but good lord, everytime he makes or assists on a tackle his helmets seems to come off and he's yelling like he is superman.

All I'm saying is, act like you've done it before....

yeah he acts like a rookie every single time he makes a play which isn't that often. Hmmm, maybe thats why he celebrates, hehe.

It's a bit annoying, but it seems he needs to play hyped up.

I don't mind it so much as long as the D as a whole is playing OK, when it really gets me though is when we're getting driven on at will by our opponents and then you see him leaping around celebrating like a crazy man cos he made a tackle for a 4 yard gain or some ****.

I would be annoying, but if it keeps the defense hyped I'll endure it to see a passionate defense.

One thing you gotta love about Nate is his lust for the game. He may not be the most diciplined LBer on the field, but he plays the game with passion which can be very infectious to his teammates.

I understand the concern, but I like to think Nate is just trying to pump up his teammates and create some momentum. I think he cares about winning and regardless of his talent I share that feeling.

I want to see him grab his crotch and stick his hand in the air ala Michael Jackson.

Maybe a little moonwalk?

He is playing pretty well. If Denver could fix the DE position I think it would make all the LBers look better.

I'm all right with it except for when the other team is running hurry up O and his ass is late in getting back and ends up out of position. This happened yesterday.

I have no problem with it at all. Yea it's a bit over the top, but he's playing pretty well and the defense needs a rah-rah guy.

Our best players are classy speak with actions type, but where calm poise is essential on offense getting fired up is probably useful on defense.

At least the guy loves the game...it could be worse.

I understand what you're saying, but I think it's necessary. We've lost some of the most vocal leaders on the D, guys like Lynch, Wilson so we need someone to get some the blood pumping and the way this defense has been playing, sometimes you need to show that confidence.

I see where your coming from, but the way our Defense has been playing, we need some sort of Electricity and Intensity on our Defense. If thats what it takes for them to play like they did, then I will take it.

I don't see where you're coming from he has been doing this celebrating in every game including the KC game. He makes a tackle after a twenty yard gain and his helmet comes off and he his pumping his fists. He needs to go back to the bench come out for third downs ( or any other nickel situations)and make some plays like he used to

Defensive players around the league celebrate a bit too much over a tackle. When the D is playing well and it's a big play I'm all for it. But when the offense has driven all the way down the field and a defensive player finally makes a tackle for a loss, I don't need to see a celebration, because the O is probably going to score anyways.

it's all about face time. if the TV networks would cut away and not show it, it would stop all around the league. they passed the rule about taking the helmet off specifically to address this problem. if this were tennis, i could understand the emphasis on the individual. but football is a team sport and anyone looking for individual recognition at the expense of the team annoys me. hell, during the post-game show, i'd occassionally like to see them ask the lineman about the blocking on a TD run rather than the running back... the RB gets the glory. the line did the work.

I agree, he doesn't need to celebrate like that on every play.

Don't get me wrong I like the way he is playing.

Just don't act like a nut every time you make a simple tackle.

I agree, here. I do think he overdoes it, but I also think our defense can get so passive and drab, it's nice to see a guy out there who looks like he gives a ****.

Teammates do feed off of it at times, as does the crowd. I understand people not liking it, but it's really not a big issue... and probably does more good than harm for the D.
