Default 'IF' the dollar crashes and is devalued by 59% or more....

Would you rather have;

$100,000 in the bank

or

$100,000 in credit card debt

I would take the assets and debt, and then sell half the assets to cover all the debt when the dollar is down 50%.

Unless your assets are guns and ammo you're not getting .50 on the dollar for them. Atleast not in this scenario.

$100,000 cash. debt doesnt de-value, it will stay (and grow with interest) at 100k.

What if your asset is gold

Buy $100,000 worth of gold at $800 on credit card

Dollar drops 50%

Gold goes to $ 1,600 at least, gold now worth $200,000

sell $100,000 Pay CC still retain $100,000 in gold
