Our D sucks balls even though we lost i still see us going to the playoffs but we won't be winning any playoff games with this D!

Being a huge 85 Bears fan i can tell you a few things ....
A. he is 74 years old ...
B. the 46 don't work well unless you can GET PRESSURE "we can't"
C. Most teams now would EAT the 4/6 alive cause of the west coast O .
D. you need GREAT safeties Hof types "we don't"....

every point spot on. Especially needing great SS FS play. Those dudes in that defense have to have range, be able to play the run, and be able to rush the passer.

We can't afford to, after 4 TO's by our Offense and one resulting in a 1 yard TD drive he would punch Jeremey Bates.

I've met Mike Singletary a couple of times after he spoke to our company as a motivational speaker. I'm not sure about his qualifications as a coach but he is certainly charismatic and motivational. IMHO, I don't think Shanahan is a very "motivational" guy from a personality perspective. He could use a "right hand man" with some charisma and fire. Mike Singletary certainly has those qualities. I can say so first hand after seeing him speak for over 4 1/2 hours over two seminars. The '85 Bears defense was as much about talent as it was about heart. Singletary is a specialist in coaching heart. I think the organization could use someone like him to augment Shanahan's talent for X's and O's.

I met him at a Computer show, he was board. I tried to talk to him but he was sooo bored he just stood there.

If the football gods were to bless us with the reincarnation of the combined knowledge of every defensive genius ever conceived somehow he would suck working for Mike Shanahan. If the best from the entire NFL was to suit up for my beloved Orange and Blue somehow teams would score on us with a reckless abandon under Mike Shanahan. I don't know. I might be a little bitter though.

I think Singletary would be incredible.
