I need some help. I think the trade is pretty fair, but I'm not sure.
I'd have to give up LJ and Reggie Bush for Marion Barber. It'd give me LT, Barber, Ronnie Brown, Edge, Mendenall and Jerious Norwood. I would be giving up having a ton of depth, but I don't know if Bush will be able to maintain his current pace of 20 points a game, and I don't think LJ will be super strong this year with their current QB situation. Plus, Barber and LT would be a pretty dominant force when LT starts to produce.... He wants to do this trade today, so any input would be greatly appreciated... What do you think? 10 team league, I'm currently 3-0, and have 3 pretty good WRs in Fitzgerald, Ocho Cinco and Santana Moss. Good trade? Bad Trade? Thanks. |

If I had the second pick in a draft today I would seriously consider taking Barber over LT and Westy. |

I didn't make the trade last week, but it's still on the table. Favre and LJ led my team to a domating victory. I think I'll take it this week, though. I'd love to have MBIII against the Bengals this week, and his schedule is pretty easy going forward.

Just so long as you feel you can give up the depth....especially with Mendenhall out for the year now. You'd essentially be losing two starting calibre RBs in one week.
I remember you saying before that you are in a 10 team league, and I still can't get over the retards that must be in it. You have absolutely no business having this kind of roster. |

I need to find a league with some better drafters. Some of the teams in our league turned out to be just horrendous. My bench outscores two or three teams every week. |

Whats your QB look like? RBs are like fantasy gold, you likely need to improve other positions than slightly upgrade a RB and lose depth.
The way I look at trades is how they will effect me on a points per week basis. E.G. If I trade Brees and LT for Barber and Bush and Slaton I lose about 10 points per week because brees just scores a ****ton, even if the other 3 produce more total, since I'll be sitting at least one of them. I honestly think Jay Cutler/Brandon Marshall/Drew Brees are MORE valuable to my team than Marion barber is. Barber is a great back, gets like 20 points a week, however I can service Forte for like 12 which I gain 8 to barber but lose like 8 from losing Brees or someone. Basically what I'm saying is try and get Brees/Cutler/Marshall for your guys instead and just roll with LT and Ronnie Brown and something off waivers for byes (e.g. michael bush LeRon McClain, Ryan Torain in a couple weeks) |

Your giving up way too much for just Barber, you should get something else too

I'm on the precipice of getting rid of Brees and LT. However I just cant find their value.
I play in a keeper league (keep 3 players at different positions, so usually everyone keeps 1RB/1QB/1WR) so I want to get younger at RB, but noone will trade value for LT or Brees. No idea why, I offered them to teams that could definately make a playoff push. Instead my team is probably going to absolutely kick the **** out of everyone this season and taper off next. |

You know, it does suck a little, but I think it'll work out in the long run. Looking back, I should have gotten a WR thrown in, but I'll be okay. I needed to unload a couple of starters so I could get Ronnie Brown into my lineup. Also, now that Romo is out for a couple of weeks, I'd guess that MBII's opportunities will do nothing but increase.
I don't think Bush will continue at his current pace. After two weeks, I'm down about 13 points overall in the trade, but I more than made up for that in having R. Brown in my lineup. I didn't make the trade just for the last two weeks, I did it to solidify my team for the season, which I still think I did. Hopefully, my WRs will hold up, and not getting a WR thrown in will be a moot point. |

We'll see what happens. FF just isn't fun for me unless I'm gambling on big trades. |
