Hey all, it's that time of year. The season is almost a 1/4 of the way through and Directv is in there wheelin and dealin mode. I called today and negotiated a package for the Sunday Ticket + Superfan (which gives all chanels in HD and other cool stuff) for $150.00
That aint bad folks. I was blowing about $40 a week at the sports bar and gaving to wait until Wed to watch the game on NFL Replay on my TV so this is much better. I have TIVO so I can record several of the games too. Just wanted to give a heads up that they probably would give the same deal to anybody if they negotiated with them and took no for an answer. |

Sunday Ticket costs $280 I believe and I think the Superfan adds $149. So yes, it's a hell of a deal. I don't know what Garcia is thinking. Maybe if you live in Denver and get their local channels and don't need it then yeah, it might not be a good deal. But if you don't live in Denver and you have to go to a sports bar every week then the normal cost of the package is still not worth it. But $150 is a steal. I don't have to spend $10 on gas to get there, I can drink at home and not have to worry about driving after the game. My beers won't be $3.75 appeice and my food is already in the fridge. I don't have to wait in line to take a piss and watch the Chiefs fan in front of me piss all over the floor and then have to stand in it. No more asking the waitress to turn up the TV so I don't have to hear the other games and most of all, their TV's did not have HD. I would easily spend twice this going to the bar for the next 12 weeks and no more headache either.

...and I think the flaw is still open where anyone can watch the games online via Supercast.

I've been a sunday ticket subscriber for over 10 years. I much prefer it to a sports bar

Damn I paid almost $4 grand for the damn sunday ticket in HD. I got screwed but then again its based on the C of O for a bar. I like watching games in bars with a good crowd.
