ALF,
what happened to that lead on the Coyotes last night? The "almost win" increases but the points trickle. COyotes on your ass in the standings so not a very good finish. BTW: We are ahead of you now in the season matchup. |

bettman suspends avery for SIX games? just so i get this right ... beating the crap out of each on the ice is acceptable, a flippant comment warrants a six game suspension?

On the other hand, Quacks lost their GM and their players are dinosaurs. It's all downhill for that franchise. Last edited by 24champ; 12-05-2008 at 03:11 PM.. |

That was....brutal.
I hope that was Labarbera's last game as a King. He has officially reached Cloutier status. |

! Do you think the same players stay on the same team for years on end? We have guys down in Iowa that are ready to come up when the "dinosaurs" turn to fossil fuel. You have this idea that all your young players will still be on the Kings as much as our players will all be here in three years. You know your team very well but you have no idea what young players the Ducks have currently and in the wings. You might be fearing us and the fact that you wont be able to sign all your young studs. |

Your team is OLD and full of dinosaurs. Plus your GM wanted out, his excuse was to be closer to family but I think the fact the Quacks are going downhill is another factor as well. I know my team well, better than yours. Speaking of which, I wonder when Bobby Ryan is going to live up to his potential? Talk about a freaking bust..but hey I am not complaining, that pick eventually led us to get JMFJ. Thanks! Ryan also highlights something you quacks do not have in your pipeline, top-flight prospects. You may have some young guys, but the thing the Kings are building with QUALITY and QUANTITY. It's not comparable to the Anaheim Dinosaurs pipeline, just isn't. When your older players retire, the guys in your pipeline are not going to fill the gap. That's the reality of it and you know it. Otherwise you would be rattling off the top young guys you got like I did previously. Lastly I am going to address your question of whether the young guns will stick around for the Kings. We already completed a lot of the contract extensions. Namely with Kopitar, Brown, Greene, Sullivan, Stoll...Lombardi has a plan and I am not worried about not being able to sign all Kings prospects. Kings have plenty of cap space...PLENTY. Besides the Anaheim Dinosaurs aren't going to beat the Sharks or Wings. It will be a first round exit and the flight downhill rapidly begins. |

I guess when you suck for sooo many years, you can stockpile young "potential" studs. I will take the fact that we are in the playoffs consistently and have a Stanley Cup trophy with it. Let us see if all those years of sucking eggs will get u one also. By the way, look up free agency, it is a new thing here in the NHL. Dont think the WIngs can take us in a series so easily. We have done well against them with only a Paul Kariya led team.
What are you spewing about Bobby Ryan? No way he is being sent down to Iowa after what he has done since being called up. You are so anti-Duck that you dont see that we are still in great shape. Here are the stats and tell me where 8 points in 10 games is considered a BUST. SKATERS:GP G A +/- Pts R. Getzlaf 271222734C. Perry 28720427T. Selanne 281411-625C. Pronger 28612118C. Kunitz 28512317S. Niedermayer 28311-214R. Niedermayer 2663-19B. Ryan 103578R. Carter 173477S. Pahlsson 2825-77 GOALIES:W L OT Sv% GAA J. Hiller 631.9332.09J. Giguere 972.9112.95 Do you notice some of those leaders as dinosaurs or young elite players? Last edited by broncocalijohn; 12-10-2008 at 04:15 PM.. |

Maybe it is the fact that Teemu, Pronger and Neidenmeyer or so dominant that you believe we need those exact players to be replace in a year or two. Free agency and farm system. No way we sit back and just have Francois hold the defense. BTW: Let me know where your sources are for our GM leaving because he thinks the Ducks will be tanking soon? He has worked around this cap nicely the last couple of years and the owners dont hold him back on players. If Burke is a good GM, he had everything to prove it again without any reins holding him back. |
