I was talking to a buddy of mine at work and we both remarked how low ranked playoff to non-playoff teams from 07 are starting strong and the top teams are showing signs of weakness.
Moving up... Denver: 2-0 Buffalo: 2-0 Tennessee: 2-0 NY Jets: 1-1 Sliding down? New England: 2-0 (but no Brady) Indy: 1-1 (Barely) Jacksonville: 0-2 San Diego: 0-2 So from these four improvers and four decliners (at least through the first two games) Who misses the playoffs, and who makes the playoffs? I'll throw a poll on this, and then do another poll for who misses the playoffs. |

I'd say Tennessee and Buffalo for sure. They are playing great football.

Thought this was interesting ...

Is it week 2-1/2, or am I mistaken? Geez, this is worse than the Draft threads in November!

Yeah, it is too early to tell. But it's a frickin' discussion forum. We don't have to be right, we just have to have an opinion! So, right now, in week 2, what do you think?
And preseason magazines predict the winners before training camp even starts. Why is it so out of bounds to think about it in week 2? I just think it's very interesting that we could have 4 different playoff teams in the AFC as opposed to last year. I would think that at least one of SD, Indy, Jax, and NE will not make it. |

Ive been thinking that the NFC can be loaded compared to the AFC this year. Chargers arent as strong, Brady is gone and Colts could have been 0 and 2 with the Jags down on what many thought would have been good. I didnt pick Tennessee but I am quite not sold on them just yet. QB improvement maybe now. Denver is on because I am homing for them and the Bills look really good this year. Glad we are not playing them.

It's way too early. Chargers, Patriots, and Colts still could sneak up on somebody.
Broncos make the playoffs based on AFC Worst. |

Denver's defense sucks as bad as the offense is great. SD, NE will win the divisions and Ten will be one of the WC teams. The last wild card will be between Buf and NYJ. Buffalo's does not have any home games when weather gets cold, which used to be a big home adv to them. I think Jets will pull it away in the nd.

And complements a NE team that beat a bad KC team and a very mediocre Jets team that barely beat a lousy Miami...far too many people are still hanging from NE and Favre's jock even though they have shown absolutely nothing thus far.

I must say Dolts defense looked bad in the 1st half but they managed to adjust and shut us down! Luckily we managed to squeak a win and up up 2 games up on them but they will be back I think!
we have to address our defense issues! |

I knew the defense would be bad, and I thought the offense would be good. I had no idea the defense would be this bad and that the offense would be this good.
If the offense can score 30 points a game broncos will make playoffs. Most teams just can't put up that many points even against Broncos defense. |

We have all seen this SD team in yrs past string together 7-8-9 wins in a row. For sure they will be back.

I still think, and NE proved, that NE is the class in their division. Jet Farver misses playoffs by a tiebreaker.

Division Winners:
Indianapolis (Peyton will hit his stride, this is an aberration I promise you). New England (Buffalo is so ****ing overrated people). Denver (Its gonna be real close, but we will edge SD barely). Pittsburgh (this isnt even close, they are in the weakest division in football). Wildcards: San Diego (Offensive might) Tennessee (Defensive Might) Just missing the cut: Buffalo, NY Jets, Jacksonville |
