Ok another message board I go to for music, has a lot of Raiders fans since it is based out in the bay area, so I frequent thier sports board alor as well and just pulled this from a raiders fan
http://www.raiderfans.net/forum/sbre...h-raiders.html Sources close to SBReport have learned that defensive coordinator Rob Ryan will be promoted to head coach when the Oakland Raiders part ways with Lane Kiffin. The move should be announced by Wednesday. Stay logged on to SBReport.net for further details and a update on this story as the day progresses. |

Him and Al Davis have a "inside" relationship.
If i was kiffen id just quit right now. That Ryan dude is not even a good DC how the hell can he control a whole team? When DHall was getting those penalties he was explainin himself to Kiffen.....Ryan shoulda told him to stfu theres nothing to explain. Theres not one coach on that team that has control of the players. |

Rob Ryan + Al Davis = worst team in the NFL.
Here's a reasonable question: why would Ryan really want the job? I mean, really, why would he want to step up to the plate? It's a no win situation for any HC, I don't care if your licking Al's nuts, Al's gonna screw you over eventually. |

Oh well its money that he will be guaranteed to make again back in College which is where he will go.
But if he does want the cash then i guess its smart to go ahead and get fired. even though its embarassing. |

If he quits he gets zero money. He has no reason to quit. He didn't draft the players, he didn't bring in the Free Agents, and he doesn't want the horrid Defensive Coordinator. Wait it out to get fired and get a settlement. Even though Al **** stain Davis won't pay it out. |

This sucks. I'd much prefer to see Ryan stay on as the DC.

Kiffin will get canned, probably wait for the year to be over, and take over some other team. Dude looks like he could become a good head coach that was let go prematurely, similar to the way Shanahan was let go. |

You say that then you want him to quit? Do you think that if he was guaranteed the money he would of quit already? He's collecting paychecks and going to force AL to fire him so that he has to pay the contract out.
