I tried to do this after the game, but my internet went down (still down) at the house...
Well, it was a horrible game for me. We basically suck... again... for another year... I had such high hopes for the additions, but our defense is just horrible. Cutler had all day to throw the ball... I mean we had no pressure whatsoever!!! If we don't do something to correct this - it's going to be another LONG YEAR in Oakland!! Well, your team looked good - but we looked horrible. I don't know if that is a good thing for your team. I suggest rating your team when you play someone "GOOD" instead of us. Good Luck throughout your season - hopefully you'll make it injury free!! ![]() |

You can only have the top pick so many times before something gives.
See you when we play Oakland in Denver. |

At least you didn't get shived at the game. Your team sucks and always will as long as Al Davis is the owner. Keep worshiping him, though. The fire Kiffin sign warmed my heart. Hopefully Davis agrees and gets rid of the best thing to happen to your franchise in these many years.

I keep hearing about how bad the Raiders are but I think a lot of this is based on the impression of what happened at the end of the game, like around the time the score became 24-0. Before the unraveling, they didnt look as bad as everyone is claiming. And I think the point about Jay having all day to through is more a credit to the Broncos OLine. Jay wasnt sacked in the preseason either and thats even with playing against Williams and Ware. I think the unraveling is what leaves the negative impression but prior to that the Raiders didnt look so bad. Its just that this game was a steep hill for the Raiders to climb in terms of keeping pace with the amount of points a Cutler driven offense was putting up. Basically, the whole game came down to Cutler having all day to throw, which is going to be the case for a lot of our games, I think.

I'm not impressed when someone talks a bunch of smack and then looks like a fool. You look at guys like Patswin, they don't run their mouth and then when they lose stay classy. All the Faid fans thump their chests like they're going to the Super Bowl and then get their trash handed to them. It just makes it that much more hilarious, I guess. I guess I'll give some minor props sine Minimus and Raiders Rock have gone AWOL.

I have a real question for you. Do the Raiders have a QB coach? While Russell looks a little better when he has time to throw. To me he looks to lack some really basic skills.
He does not protect the ball. To me it seems to be an after thought for him. He does not seem to know how to step up in the pocket. When he does step up he gets himself off balance. The guy appears to have a live arm, but seems to lack real basic skills. What to raider fans think? |

Our O-line is just amazing! The Broncos were a good team that struggled with protecting the QB and getting players to the right spots last year. This year they apparently have that more under control. Our O will dominate most teams in the league, but our D needs to keep improving. That being said, Faid fans are typically a sad bunch. Ususally they don't really understand much about their team or football as a whole, they shiv people, they punch cops after the game, they want good coaches fired and Al Davis to live forever. There loyalty to a disgraced organization is unbelievable, but its there. Its always a pleasuer when a Faid fan admits they were wrong in the sh*t talking they dolled out prior to a game that was a big unknown for both parties. I therefore give DBM respect and want to pass a long my feeling that the Faid will be better than Faid fans expect right now - as long as Kiffin isn't fired this week. |

You think Al Davis would take a 2nd rounder for Fargas? That guy played hard till the gun. Only guy on the team IMO.

The Raiders an 8-8 team? They'll be lucky to win four games this year.

I think the Raiders have plenty to work with. But, it's going to take a year to iron it out. What they need to do is let Kiffin coach and stick with him through the difficult days ahead.
Look, the Raiders got zero pressure on Cutler. The Broncos went double tight and took away the outside rush and that was that. Also, their best pass rusher went out almost immediately (Burgess). I think the Raiders secondary compares well to ours. Yeah, Hall got burnt, but could Bly have done better? Maybe. #21 is a stud though. As far as their offense goes...Russell impressed me some. The kid is really in his first year and take a peak at his stats against us. Not shabby....then consider that #1...he has no receivers...and #2...the receivers he has didn't help him all that much. I mean...if they would have made those two catches for him...you could probably add 75 yds and a TD to his stats. As long as they bring Russell around slowly and don't kill his growth...they'll be o.k. in the long run. The kid needs some real help though...and I certainly don't think Javon is the answer. Lelie might help some...but they need to get that kid a stud wide receiver. I'm just happy as hell about where we're headed...but I try not to lose sight of other team's potential. The Facts: Russell went:
Not too shabby! Add to those numbers...at least that one long drop...that could have been a TD and hmm! So, as a Raider fan...you should try to concentrate on the positives. Russell has plenty of potential, you have a very solid running game and McFadden is the real deal. You have one of the best cb's in the game and a hand full of other very solid players. It takes time...the biggest thing you have against you...is Al DAVIS and the lack of patience. Last edited by Hamrob; 09-10-2008 at 09:05 AM.. |

Props for showing back up so soon. Your team is junk, don't forget it
I'll give you this: your offense is about 4 linemen and a receiver away from being noteworthy! |
