I'm gonna bet that Jackson would not retire to go fly fishing when he easily had 5 solid seaons left in him and millions still on the table. I also doubt he drives an Element. Okay, maybe he drives an Element but the wheels got to be all blinged out.

He is pretty close, all he needs to do is throw his middle finger up.

not even close--Jake could throw much better than TA-VAR-IS. That is a HORRIBLE comparison for a QB who won 3 out of every 4 times he stepped onto the field.

Jake was an average/slightly above average NFL QB. Tavarus is easily a below average NFL QB.

Tavaris Jackson is the worst rated QB out of pocket. I forget what the number was, but I think it was around 20 or so... from my recollectoins of the GB/Minn game. Jake was the polar opposite.

I think a better comparison is Kordell Stewart. Except that Stewart washed out of the league, while Jake washed himself out of the league before an opportunity to lose a job to Jeff Garcia .

fiction...Jake was good enough to make you think he could win it for you, but not good enough to actually do it...the only person Tavaris is fooling is Childress

Not even a good comparison. Plummer was a solid QB. Jackson is arguably the worst starting QB in the league. Minn is only a QB away from challenging the NFC for supremecy.

Tavaris is a second year player, maybe he can learn from his mistakes.
