With Merriman out i doubt the generate much of a pass rush giving Cutler all day long to throw to B Marsh/Royal and company. Hopefully we run it straight at them like Carolina did and mix it up like what we did with Oak. If we can get up early and force them to throw more often then not, i'll like our chances!!
Edit: I just can't get the image of Rivers talking smack to Cut in that MNF game out of my head...i'm pretty sure EVERYONE that is orange and blue wants serious revenge!! Last edited by maher_tyler; 09-09-2008 at 04:16 PM.. |

Don't they have other LBs that play in that 3-4?
Ever since Drew-Jones blew him up, I don't think he had been the same. Mostly reputation without the 'Roids..... |

I'm really thinking about opening up notepad and writing my responses to certain post and then saving the file. And that way, when there are 8 topics all the same, I can just copy and paste the same thing instead of re-typing the same stuff all day long.................lol
Guess I will just sum up my previous replies and make it short to save time. Broncos win, good game, not on local TV here in Phoenix |

This will be a shootout with Cutler and Rivers both having big games.
Say what you will about Rivers but he's definitely not a bad QB by any means. He'll never be elite IMO, but I think we'll be seeing him in San Diego for quite a while and can expect him to be a problem for us. With our poor pass rush combined with the fact that we'll have to commit extra men to stopping the run, it's hard to imagine Rivers struggling, unfortunately. The loss of Merriman and emergence of Royal bodes well for our passing game and Cutler, so I expect us to move the ball well too. It'll come down to which ever D can step up and make enough plays to hold their own. Very tough to call at this point, but I think we can win it. |

I think it comes down to mistakes. You can't turn the ball over, limit the penalties and you for sure can't drop TD passes right in your hands. You can't give up a TD pass on the last play of the game to a receiver who has 4 defenders within 5 feet of him.
Get the point. Just do what we did last week and we will be fine. Or if you want to look at it another way, don't do what the Raiders did last week and we will be fine. |
