Default Broncos' Youth Movement Shows Promise

You heard it all throughout the offseason and well through the preseason. Denver has very little chance of doing anything of note in the NFL this season. That's what the pundits have said. There are too many young players out there; too many unknowns. Jay Cutler may look okay, but there is the diabetes thing...the leadership thing...the youth. Brandon Marshall "might break out" after a 1300 yard season, but they cant decide if that translates. Denver isnt worth the effort of thought to come to any conclusions beyod these. Scheffler has a funny name. They drafted a boring offensive lineman...whats his name...the guy from Boise. Eddie Royal surely isnt DeSean Jackson in terms of hype. Chris Kuper and Ryan Harris arent even worth commenting on, right? Not worth looking at with more than a cursory roster check. Why are the Broncos starting a rook fullback who didnt even get to block for those two guys in Arkansas (their deduction, not mine)?

I think that its safe to say that the Broncos' youth movement looks like one thats going in the right direction. It looks like one that could result in the Broncos having the best passing offense in the league for a number of years.

I loved Cutler's press conference last night. Especially when the reporter told him how the Raiders defense(Hall) felt they had been outschemed for that game, and Cutler just laughed and told them it wasn't outscheming it was outplaying and how Royal made Hall look like crap.

Next week will be a test for sure.

After rewatching the first half Raiders blitzed only once on passing downs.. Chargers will surely be bringing it, hopefully the OL dominates again. (i think it can)

SD didnt look so good in that game. And its not like Carolina is a powerhouse on O either. Ther O-line looked really bad as well they are going to have to play better than that to beat these Broncos!!!

Carolina pushed them back on the line with a few backups. Lets hope we come out real nasty on Sunday.

exactly and dont forget carolina has basically a brand new defense also.....

there offense is nowhere near a powerhouse and they pretty much hung around th game without there best offensive players.

jamaal williams the key to there 3-4 who used to demand a double team and he was still holding his own vs double teams no longer exist.

if youw atched that game yesterday they blocked williams alot with one man.........THAT DOES NOT WORK IN A 3-4.

If your NT is being blocked by one man your done.

Factor in there inside line backers are horrible and there gonna get gashed vs the run often this year..

Regardless of how the Charger game turns out, Denver is on the right track thanks to a complete 180 in their draft evaluations. I can't remember a time when there were so many draft picks playing so well. I guess the closest would be the teams of the 70's.

Look at this:

QB: 3rd year (Cutler)
RB: 2nd year (Young), Rookie (Torain) and 3rd year (Hall)
FB: Rookie (Hillis)
WR: 3rd year (Marshall) and Rookie (Royal)
TE: 3rd year (Scheffler)
OT: Rookie (Clady) and 2nd year (Harris)
OG: 3rd year (Kuper)

We have 3 starters on offense who have more than 3 years in the league (Graham, Hamilton and whoever our C is) and it is not far fetched that Lichtensteiger (Rookie) could replace one of them by next season.

If we can just do the same with our D, build up a dominant unit of young people.
