Hall plays despite mom's death

ALAMEDA, Calif. — With a heavy heart, Broncos running back Andre Hall has decided to play in the season opener tonight against the Oakland Raiders.

Hall learned a couple hours before game time that his mom had passed away.

Hall knew his mother was ill and in a Florida hospital, but her passing came as a shock. After talking it over with several members of the Broncos' coaching staff, front office and teammates in his hotel room today, Hall decided to play.
Good luck Andre.

Man thoughts and prayers with Hall and his family. Wouldn't blame him if he sat this one out.

Holy ****ing ****!!

This team can't get a break.

God bless him and his family. We'd better win this for him.

Well played tonight.

As great as Royal has played, I'd give Andre the game ball for playing under such circumstances.

Just a thought but maybe we could do something for the kid as a group. Couldn't even imagine playing under those circumstances. Maybe some flowers for his mom? Letter via email to him? Just some ideas.
