I think he came off as someone who tells you what you want to hear. Color me unimpressed.

I thought it was a great speech. On the flip side he just repeated most of his ads. He, like the rest of them, told a few lies and half-truths, all in all it was a good speech.

Obama's speech the best so far for both conventions. My prediction is mcsame's speech gets overshadowed by palin's.

Did Obama say something? I think the Greek pillars obscured everyone's view....surprised he wasnt wearing a white robe -- it would have been far more congruent with his message.

Its the delivery that matters for the sheep. Face it, They both hit home runs. Only conservitives might have needed a grand slam. I watched after palins speech on CNN, and they were just dumbfounded about how good this chick was. Anderson Cooper was just lost. He was looking for anything and just couldnt find it. he spent most of the tiem listening to the other "experts" (On a side not, could someone tell Wolf Blitzer to go play on the freeway? Jeez!) I was suprised at thier comments though. They were stunned and it showed. |

I dont mind Anderson cause hes not a flat out dick like say Shaun Hannity.
Hannity is just a plain dick and it shows. I could hang out with Anderson and even though we dont share the same politics, it wouldnt matter cause hes pretty laid back and he does not come off like a dick. Hannity, even if i was a neocon, i would most likely want to punch him in the face with n 20 minutes of being around him. hes just a cumrag. |

I was a Ron Paul supporter so neither Obama or Mccain are attractive options for myself. He was the only one who really would have brought change IMO.
As far as Obama's speech goes I thought he did a great job of promising the sky. If he could deliver a fraction of what he said he must really think he's the next coming of Jesus himself. I'm looking forward to the debates though. If Obama puts on a performance like he did at Saddleback church I don't think this race is that far apart. It's one thing to be a great speech reader it's another to be able to think on your toes and debate. |
