Default Ooops! Jon Stewart Catches Rove and O'Reilly in Gross Hypocrisy

This is just a remarkably revealing piece about the out of control cynicism on the Right.

Who owns Comedy Central? Stewart really should be shown on more than one channel. His show is more newsworthy than the garbage they put on any of those other channels.

You know what? I would love to see Stewart take over Meet the Press. I don't think anybody would be willing to go onto the show after a few weeks. I can't imagine him letting anybody slide on anything.

There's a reason so many young viewers use him and Colbert to get their news these days.

Uh oh...It's amuses me that people think blogs and a show on the comedy channel are actual objective news.

I dont even watch the Jon Stewart show but found it amusing that he caught some people vastly flip flopping on the same topic when it comes to people they are for or against. But as Mr. Meanie said, who is objective when it comes to the media? The answer is there is none.

I find it shocking that a political pundit would say something that suits his/her purpose at the moment. There must be some mistake.

The concept of objectivity in anything ...not just the news/media....is a myth.

The minute you are born into the world, your life experiences start to formulate your ideas, feelings and viewpoints towards everything. It's impossible for a human to simply erase their memories and all of a sudden become objective or unbiased. Even when you know nothing about a particular topic, you are still biased in one way or another.

As a professional though these people can do objective news despite their personal opinions.

I disagree. One can find subjective bias in anything, if they simply try.

It amuses me that people try and claim bias in a comedic bit that literally clips together conflicting statements made by people, to suit their political needs.

Much like Olbermann, Stewart and Colbert give more facts in 5 minutes of their show than the rest of the MSM gives in a 24 hour period, instead trotting out analysts and op-eds as though their opinion has more weight and gravitas than the actual statements made by the people they're talking about.
