Mostly a focus on the defensive positions we need upgrading at, and some of the better prospects available.
I thought some of you would enjoy it. I hope so. I'll get into more detail on prospects as the season continues. Enjoy it. |

Great stuff, Req.
![]() I have to say I'm in that school that says the Broncos are keeping 8 LBs because they know that's their weakest spot, so it is quantity over quality. I've already said (probably more than needed ) that I want Rey in O&B, but the need at safety is also pretty clear. I would also argue that the Broncos are still weak at DE. I also agree that the offense is looking good for the future and the D side of the ball is where the emphasis must be. |

Do you expect more players to declare because of CBA?

Looking ahead, the 2nd-3rd rounds look to align with the Broncos' needs pretty well. RB, WR, OL, DE and S could all be addressed in that area. James Davis would be a perfect RB for Denver and his measurables should keep him out of round 1, Courtney Greene is a physical, productive Safety to fill that in-the-box role, and the top OC prospects should all be available in the mid-late 2nd. Even DE looks to be very deep if the top juniors come out.
If the top MLBs are gone in round 1, I could see us trying to stock up in that 2nd-3rd range and fill most of our holes with solid prospects. Of course, if we've got a shot at Maualuga or Brandon Spikes (assuming he lives up to his billing) we have to take it. I'm not as sold on JL though. |

Can't really answer the bit on the CBA and whether or not more players will declare. The great underclassmen players at the weak positions will go, and then there will be players who are good and have nothing else left to prove. I expect a decent flow of underclassmen to come in this year. |

[QUOTE=Requiem;2058639]He's a top tier talent, a very good player -- but honestly, I don't see much difference in pro potential from him compared to say Brandon Spikes. I hope that we're nowhere near the position to draft him. I'd be much more excited about getting Spikes in the 20s than I would be moving up or being in the top twelve or so picks to lock up JL.

I thought I heard someone on NFL Network say something about more guys jumping because owner want a ceiling on rookies getting so much coin right off but, hey maybe I misunderstand what was said it happens . I'd prefer Spikes over JL myself but, we'll see what happens. |
