Sirius is saying that with Saturday hurt in Indy, they may try and trade with Denver to get Dylon Gandy. Gandy would offer stability to a unit that may be starting three rookies.
I have no link. Per Sirius radio. I would laugh if we got a pick out of him for doing nothing but practice for us for a Summer. ![]() |

Argh we can't give him up now with Holland gone! Wait do they have any linebackers over 200lbs, or defensive ends?

If we do trade Gandy to Indy, in addition to the move we made by shipping Montrae Holland to Dallas- then I deduce the Broncos staff believes Nalen will be back to full strength very soon, and also really likes our young undrafted FA lineman- Polumbus and Erickson.

Why trade Gandy back to Indi when Denvr might have to play the Colts in the AFC Championship game?

It really depends on how many we keep on our OLINE. 1. Clady 2. Hamilton 3. Nalen 4. Wiegmann 5. Kuper 6. Harris 7. Lichtensteiger 8. Polumbus 9. Alexander 10. Gandy 11. Erickson My guess: We keep 9 guys including Polumbus and Lichtensteiger. Both of those guys would be claimed off of waivers if we cut them and would not make it to the practice squad. So, including Nalen, that's 8 guys right there...which means you have Alexander, Gandy and Erickson all duking it out for one final spot. Who do you keep? I think you keep Alexander, because he can play center, guard and tackle. Then you cut Erickson and sign him to the practice squad...nobody will put him on thier active roster this year. That leave's Gandy as the odd man out anyway. Having said that, it could depend on Nalen's health. If Nalen is truly o.k. then Gandy is gone. If Nalen is not o.k. then you would probably want to keep Gandy as your 9th lineman. But, really I think he's expendable. Maybe we can get a 5th in the 2009 draft for him? Fingers crossed! |

I hate to go on record but it appears that with an aging D (anyone watch Lynch get repeatedly taken out of plays in the game vs Philly?) and a QB and now WR with injuries this could be the year Patsy's don't make the playoffs. Indy has real bad Oline issues and also have an injuried QB. Plus both teams lost decent depth players to FA this year. |

If this is even true, it will likely be a conditional seventh rounder.

Given the fact that their schedule is arguably shaping up to be one of the easiest in recent history, they'd really have to collapse to achieve that feat. Among other things, Brady would have to miss significant time, and I just don't see that happening.
