Default Jeremy Bloom cut

http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/traini...ory?id=3552578

The Pittsburgh Steelers made four roster moves Monday in anticipation of this week's roster cuts.

Pittsburgh released receiver Jeremy Bloom, quarterback Mike Potts and defensive lineman Martavius Prince. The Steelers also placed punter Daniel Sepulveda (knee), who is out for the season, on the Reserve/Injured List.

The Steelers currently have 76 active players on their roster, not including international program player Marvin Allen. They need to make one more roster cut before Tuesday's 4 p.m. deadline.

I haven't heard much about him. Was he injured at all? I was really hoping he'd make it there.

I wish that whole eligibility thing hadn't happened. I would have loved to see what he could do with a few more years at CU.

Bloom isn't going to make it in the NFL. Time to go back to skiing.

Oh man, I should really go back and dig up some of the posts clamoring for us to spend a 2nd round pick on him. I'm a CU alum and as big of a homer as anyone, but even I knew he wasn't going to make it in the league. Mason Crosby on the other hand...

Blart loved that guy. He was all hype. I loved how people listed his Olympic skiing experience as a positive, like that somehow was supposed to help him play receiver in the NFL.

Not really. He simply doesn't have the speed (or the moves) that he had when he was 25 pounds lighter and 5 or 6 years younger. He was phenomenal at Colorado.

My feelings on Bloom are well known. The doubters are going to be served a healthy plate of crow. Bloom will be a game changer, even if that's just on special teams.

I think my favorite part of that thread is local joke Bronco Beerslug talking up Bloom as the second coming. Another in a long line of horrible takes coming from his direction.

There isn't a poster here who can say they didn't have a dumb prediction. -Slap- and SoCal both thought Bloom was worth a pick. I thought Jamaal Anderson was better than Gaines Adams and it looks like that's nowhere near the case.

I thought Bloom could help our ST's but, hated the media frenzy it would have been if he was playing here.

Yea, I've made some dumb predictions, but I'm not a consistently self-righteous prick like Beerslug.
