Default Congrats on sweeping the Chiefs this year

I'm going to go ahead and call it. We're terrible. We might actually make your defense look good.

Enjoy another sweep and another year of the keys to Camarohead. We suck!

bob is already turning to the reverse mojo?

That is a bad sign, not even in the regular season yet and already looking for superstitions to bale your sorry ass team out.

Living in KC, I (unfortunately) watched a lot of tonight's game. After some okay showings in previous weeks there was talk that the Chefs might be surprisingly decent in certain areas. One guy on the radio went so far as to say they could win 6 games...if Huard was starting.

Well tonight, in the 3rd preseason game where we get to see a healthy dose of the starters we finally saw the 2008 Kansas City Chiefs. And it was everything Bronco fans were hoping for. And more. They may be saying "rah rah rebuilding year" right now, but even the most logical Chief fan (make your own joke up about that one) will have a tough time weathering some of the stretches this team is going to have.

No doubt the Chiefs are going to struggle, as do a lot of teams that are rebuilding. It doesn't help the Carl Peterson makes some pretty awful management decisions. I don't know that I agree with a lot people putting the blame on Herm Edwards, at least not entirely. I think he neglected the offense in rebuilding the defense (which was better last year then in previous years, but without a decent offense it's pretty useless). Brody Croyle unfortunately still doesn't have an offensive line to block for him and he is not mobile enough. None of their QBs are mobile enough. The best defense is always a good offense, which is why Denver will still be better then KC. I just find it unfortunate to see Chiefs fans coming in here and slamming their own team. It's like talking smack about your family outside of the family. It maybe be true, but you should protect your family to the outside. I mean I give my brother grief all the time, but I would never talk badly about him to someone else. I really do hope the Chiefs improve, because as a fan it is tough to see your team struggle and I sympathize, but also I don't like the idea of the AFC West division being so miserable. Competition is good for all of us.

Thats exactly what he's doing while taking a shot at our defense. His act is tiresome & old.

The Chiefs are finally doing the smart thing and rebuilding.

Any Chief fans who are upset and feel the need to shout to the world that their team sucks, need a reality check. Supporting the rebuilding process is the best thing Chief fans can do right now.

Agreed. The thing I think is, that rebuilding requires a lot of patience. Though they appear to have made some decent choices in the draft there is no way to know for certain just yet. And trading Jared Allen was a big risk, but it may pay off for them. Croyle is still an unknown, but who knows what may happen given time to rebuild a decent offensive line. Besides, I find it odd to give up this quickly. It's still preseason, though, again in the process of rebuilding it takes a while. But I suppose I can understand, they haven't been to a Superbowl since 1970 or something. I really do hope they get better, I think football is more fun to watch when it's a challenge and not a huge blowout.

Thats whats been Denvers issues in the draft. When you constantly have winning season or at least mediocre seasons you draft low. Sometimes I wish this team would have tanked for a year or two just to recycle but then again the taste of utter suck is just horrible!

Good plan I guess, but poor execution
Seriously hiring Herm Edwards and Carl Peterson to rebuild a team(I know Carl wasnt hired for this but he still has a job despite being a crappy GM) is like hiring Kent Hovind to teach biology

I actually do feel bad for them because I don't see it getting better for a long time until changes are made at the top.

Carl Peterson I agree on.

But I actually think Herm isn't such a bad choice for a rebuilding team. I kind of liken him to Marty. I think he could bring a lot to a young team but he'll need to be upgraded to take that team to the next level.

Gotta give them credit for doing the right thing though.

Hey now... we have three (3) more Lombardis than you do with Big Al at the top. Can't base our suckness on his track record. I don't see it getting better until we start playing better.

You think the Jets had a lot of talent when Herm left?

How old was Al when the Raiders won those?

Some things don't get better with age...
